This B-studio maritime drama features Kenneth McDonald, Claire de Lorez, Fay Wray, Spottiswoode Aitken and Gino Corrado.

It is a bit odd to see Fay Wray sporting her brunette Pickford curls in this film.

This DVD-R edition has been mastered from a video-based conflation of a fair to good 16mm reduction print (which may have had foreign language intertitles) and a fair VHS videotape that has supplied inserts of the English language intertitles and of shots missing from the 16mm print. The picture is soft in image detail, and the source print marred with dust, speckling, schmutz, long vertical scratches, and other print flaws. The natural-speed, analog full-frame video transfer loses highlight details in some of the film’s brighter shots. Some anonymous person deserves credit for bothering to assemble a watchable version of the film.

The film is accompanied by a soundtrack compiled from preexisting piano music recordings.

An OK edition, but we still suspect that, even though we haven’t viewed it, the Grapevine Video edition noted above will still be of better quality.
