This DVD-R edition has been mastered from a very-good 16mm reduction print, with dust, speckling, exposure fluctuations, and other print flaws present. The coarse NTSC picture interlacing does not entirely go away on HD systems capable of line-doubling upscaling — seen particularly in the intertitles.
The film is accompanied by a music score composed and performed on virtual theatre pipe organ by David Knudtson.
Sight unseen, this is our recommended home video edition of the film.
