| Nobody in the league switches and cradles like Bella. She is a workhorse and has delivered the ball to the attackers time and time again, tirelessly covering all 110 yards of this field. |
Well, this month has turned out to be something of a whirlwind! Our weekends have been full of lacrosse, soccer, birthdays and First Communions. We celebrated with Corinne her first communion on May 5th. Then Jake had his long awaited 4th birthday which was celebrated at Benihana's (or the fire place, as he called it). The girls had their First Communions. My dad had the Mother of All Surgeries (seriously, this is what it is nicknamed). And this past weekend we celebrated Dominic's 6th birthday and Eric's 40th. All the while, having soccer and lacrosse games in there somewhere. As the girls were preparing for their first communion, Jake and I were sitting in the church. The priest was talking about Jesus when Jake perks up and loudly announces, "I like Cheez-Its!" Everyone near us chuckled! Bella has scored in all but one of her soccer games which has enabled the team to win a few games this season. Alaina decided to try goalie in lacrosse and turns out she's pretty good there, too. She was also invited to join the pre-competition team in gymnastics, so she's pretty pumped about that. With all this activity, you would think we are starting to wind down...and then it happens: swim team, for all of them! Oh, it will be a fun couple of weeks, that's for sure. I don't anticipate Jake ever swimming in a meet, but hey where are you going to get 6 weeks of daily swimming lessons for $70? Mom and Dad are sticking close to Baltimore (where he had his surgery) for the month to make sure that all is well before they head home to Florida. He has had an amazing recovery, and I pray that it continues.
