Here's a Good Laugh

This evening my friend and I had to make a couple of visits (for Relief Society if you must know). We stopped at the first house and knocked on the front door only to have the man tell us that she lived downstairs and we should try that door.

So, we knock on that door and about a minute later this guy answers the door in a nice suit. He seemed a little anxious or just a little bit off. We asked if we could talk to the girl and he was like, "Um . . . Well . . ." so my friend asks if this was a bad time. He said "Yeah, I just proposed to the girl about 3 minutes ago." Who does that? Who answers the door right after they've proposed!?! My friend and I quickly left and once the door was shut, we laughed all the way to our car.

A Beautiful Fall Drive

On Saturday, Mom, Grandma and I went for a drive up to Logan. We stopped in Brigham City (actually it's Perry, but who knows that city?) for lunch at Maddox. Then we drove through Sardine Canyon. We stopped several times along the way to take pictures of the beauty all around us.

We spent a little time in Logan looking for where Grandma lived or one of her relatives. Either the houses were all torn down or Grandma forgot where they were. I think the second is the most likely.

This should be more vivid, but what can you
expect when you take a picture in the car.

In front of the Cheese Factory. We bought a big bag of cheese curds (aka squeaky cheese) for the ride home.

The Cutest Baby Cousins

Don't deny it. They really are super cute and I just had to share these pictures.

Beautiful Sunset

One night last week I went outside and beheld the most beautiful sunset. This picture doesn't do it justice, but I'm sharing it anyway.

Cirque de la Symphonie

Last Saturday, September 19, my friends were sick and had symphony tickets that night that they weren't going to use. So, lucky us, they called and asked if we wanted them. Which we did. Actually Mom had been talking about how she would love to go to the symphony.

All I can say is that my friends missed out! The music was all familiar, at least to Mom and me, and then they had gymnasts from Cirque du Soleil moving to the music. It was fantastic! Our seats were on the first terrace, in the middle of the back, on the front row. The only thing that could have made our experience better would have been for us both to have binoculars.

Obviously I couldn't take pictures at the actual symphony, so I've searched the internet to find pictures of the gymnasts. Everything seen in these pictures, we saw that night. It was just amazing!

Relief Society Retreat 2009

Last weekend, September 18-19, I went to my ward Relief Society's retreat. We had good food, made good friends and had an all around good time.

Setting up

Getting the soup cookin'

So far, this is the only proof I have that I was there.

Debbie & Jenn blowing up balloons was the
funniest thing I've seen in a long time!

The next morning we ate breakfast and cleaned up. I managed to burn my thumb on some boiling water in the process. I only took two pieces of ice, so you can imagine how long the hour and a half drive home was. Ugh!

Zoe's Blessing

On the first Sunday of this month, September 6, cute baby Zoe was blessed by her daddy. Afterwords we had a party. Good food and good people, what more could we want?
