Camden's cousin Preston turned 8 today and we were getting ready to go to his baptism. Camden was refusing to get ready to go so I asked him, "aren't you excited to go see your cousins and see Preston get baptized?"
to which he replied, "I'm excited to see my cousins but I don't want to see Preston get baptized!" I said why not and he said "because they dunk him under the water!!" I said, that's ok and Preston is ok with it (knowing that Camden isn't a fan of getting water in his eyes or in his ears while in the bath, although he is ok with it in the pool) he said, "well I'm not ok with it! Is he going to be awake when they do it?" I told him, yes he will be awake. "Well, is he going to be breathing after?" he questioned. Yes he will be breathing, his dad isn't going to drowned him buddy, he will just go under really fast and come back up.
It was so cute how concerned he was. He didn't understand why we would be excited about it. Afterwards he said it was really cool and he was happy.

We all want long thick beautiful lashes but how far are you willing to go?
There is the fake lashes you can just glue on yourself...but after doing that for my Halloween costume this year I will never do that again! Not only did I get the glue in my eye, HOLY OUCH, but it took me three times on each eye to get it the way I wanted.
You can pay a professional to do them for you but on average they cost $200-$300 for your first set and then $50-$75 for regular refills, sometimes as often as twice a month!YIKES!! Also people have had allergic reactions to the glue that is used to adhere the extensions to the lashes and in some cases, patients need expensive antibiotics or eye patches.
There is Latisse, a prescription you can get to use. A bottle last only 30 days when following the instructions for use, cost around $120 so a years worth of treatment would cost $1,440! It also has known side effects such as cornea inflammation! So I will just cross that off my list!

Camden earned his Alphabet Zoo crown at school. Which means he can identify all the letters and their sounds. He was so excited that he wore his crown everywhere for two days until it broke.
Camden was climbing up on the counter in the bathroom to brush his teeth and I said, "why don't you get your stool instead of climbing silly?" He said "but I need to climb, because climbing is my featured word of the day." ...how do I argue with that?
Camden kept knocking over the vacuum onto Carson so I told him, if you do that one more time I am gonna knock it over onto you. Camden said, "mom, you use to be so kind and gentle?" I said, "well, you use to be sweet and respectful" to which he replied..."no I wasn't...I was kind, but disrespectful." For some reason Camden says E lot and E ton and I was correcting him the other day and said it is A lot and A ton. He said, "mom, you can say things how you want and I will say things how I want and dad will say things how he wants, ok."
Carson and Camden were playing school today and I over heard Camden say, "this is your seat Carson but if you talk to much I'm gonna have to move you." I asked Camden if he has ever had to get moved at school for talking too much and he said no but other kids have.

After church Camden turned into his alter ego, Vampire Boy. He loves his vampire teeth. Yes, he is wearing 3D movie glasses.
This boy is such a character and I love that he is finally letting me take pictures of him again.

Our Story
Dean and I met in Provo in February 06. I was going to hair school and he was working for Verizon Wireless. We met through my friend Carolyn. We got engaged in August and we had a very short engagement and we were married September 23rd in the Dallas Temple. We lived in Texas for about 7 months before moving back to Utah. Dean missed to mountains and ski season too much. We now we have the two most amazing little boys in the world! Camden Marshall Altice was born December 26, 2007 and Carson James Altice was born May 28, 2010. We bought a house in Sandy, Utah in May of 2009. We have the best neighborhood/ward and we can can't wait for what adventure life will bring next!
