Brown's Island

We went on a hike with some of our cousins and grandmas and grandpas. It was fun. We always go there with our family, so we thought it would be fun to go with the cousins. He hike is on island in the middle of the James River. It used to be a jail during the Civil War. The best part of the hike was when Brooke fell in the river, but Brooke doesn't think that's the best part!

Reflections Contest

My school had a contest about art. I love art. I've done tons of fun classes. Once, I went to an art class and the museum was closed and I got to go in it when no one was in there. It was awesome. I felt like Claudia in "From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler".

Everyone thought my picture was awesome. I felt proud of it. I worked hard on it. It took 5 or 6 days. My favorite part was the background.

Summer Time!

Last Day of School

Summer is here!

My whole life I've wanted Summer! Some of the things I love about Summer are: going to the beach, seeing my cousins, going on horseback rides, swimming at the pool, building sand castles, 4th of July parades, kayaking down the James River, and popsicles.

Summer is almost over and I'm sad. Summer felt super quick. I wish it could almost go forever.

Pedicure People!

  I went to a pedicure with my friend, Eliza.  My mom said we could go on the last day of school.  Ever since I was in preschool I wanted to do it.  
  My colors for the nail polish were turquoise and purplish -bluish. 
  We got to get our feet washed in hot water.  And we got a massage for our backs from the chairs.  
  Our moms both came with us.  It was really, really fun.

  This is the dryer rack.  My toe polish came off and the lady had to do it again before we left.  

  This is my toes and my friend Eliza's toes when they were all done.   The worst part of the pedicure was when my toe nail polish came off super quick.   The best part of a pedicure was we got a massage.   Pedicures are so much fun!  Why don't you go sometime, too?  Ask your mom for permission if you are not old enough to go by yourself.  

Here Comes the Bride??

  My mom and I were watching Say Yes to the Dress on T.V.    She got out her wedding dress for me to try on.   My mom's grandma made her wedding dress.  
  I grew sooo tall!   
  My dad came home and caught us.  Ha, ha, ha.  
  No fair!  I shrunk again! 

When I get married I want to have a ginormous cake and daisies for the flowers.  I don't know who I'm going to marry yet.  I'm going to get married in the temple.  My family will come and my friends.   I want to have a really fancy dress with lace and sparkles and beads on it.  

Horse Fun

 We got to go horseback riding.  It was my first time ever.   I think it was the funnest day of my life.  My horse was brown and white.  It's name was Honey.  It was a really good horse.  Once it shook really fast and I shook back and forth really, really fast.  My dad had to ride a horse name Tinkerbell and it tooted!  My mom said maybe it can be a tradition for every Memorial Day.  I hope it is!  If it isn't I'll cry my eyes out.  I'm kidding!
 We went in a big maze.  

  It took a really long time.  We were happy it was finished.  The End. 
  We went in a big cavern.  We saw fake eggs made out rocks.  We saw a dream lake.  We saw a frozen waterfall.  We saw a fake ghost, and a singing rock.  

We went to see Night at the Museum II.   I liked it.  Afterwards we got ice cream at Flotzies.   I got a cookie dough milkshake with big chunks of cookie dough.  My brother tasted a lot of mine.  

Field Day

We had Field Day at my school.  It was very fun.  My partner was Courtney.  My favorite part was the tug-of-war.  My mom and dad came to watch.
