Things I've Learned

Wow, it's only been just over a month since my last post. yea me!! (sarcasm) okay, well, these past few weeks, I have been pretty busy. One thing we have been busy with is we went to Mexico! I was really excited. About everything to do with it. We took the kids with us. We were really in a debate about taking them with us. finally, I said, let's do it. We would be meeting Eden's family, and I simply couldn't bear to spend a week without them. So they came with us and they LOVED it. I never really knew how well behaved my children were until this trip. They were soooo good.
Eden's family is SO nice. Seriously. Despite the language barrier, they are super nice. They loved the kids and Eden's mom said she loved me! Eden has said they don't care about him, they only care about me and the kids. I am glad I have been blessed with two sets of great in laws.
So i compiled of a list of things i learned when i was in Mexico.
1. Mexican food, despite how great it tasted, does not go well with a Canadian body. Two mornings I spent it in the bathroom. Yuck!
2. When you see your child in the corner of the pool, you know something is up. Literally.
3. Even though they were of different nationalities and languages, soccer is a game all kids can understand. And play.
4. The malls there are a LOT nicer than our malls. and more family friendly.
5. Some of the stores had brown mannequins.
6. A lot of Mexicans are blonde. And they are totally Mexican.
7. Vendors on every corner. Need i say more?
8. School uniforms. Hair done. Immaculate faces. These are what the school children look like.
9. I apparently can pass for Mexican, Japanese, Korean, White, Samoan, Black, but not the real ethnicity that i am.
10. The gospel is the same everywhere. LOVE IT!

News News News

Well, I haven't written in MONTHS!!!
Let's see, i guess the biggest news about me is that i am MARRIED!!!! Yep, so exciting! I am now Mrs. Eden Rodriguez. We got married on June 26th. It was a small wedding, which was what we wanted. I know I always get these questions asked so i will answer them. Yes, the Kearl family came. They are totally supportive and even Lori gives Eden a hug whenever we see them! My mom really likes Eden and what a great support he is to me. The kids really like Eden and Cameron is ready to accept Eden as his second Daddy. Adam is a little bit more slow but does really like him.
I really appreciate how the Lord has blessed me so much in my life. I don't know what i did to really deserve much abundance, but i hope to prove myself to Him.
thanks, everybody!

Almost Two Months Later.....hehehehe

Hey, I decided it's been some time since I have posted up a blog, but I thought I would let you all know how I've been doing.
I started to work out .......but that came to a halt. Because the key to the gym is a little scan device about the size of half your pinky. so small that i put it in a "safe" place and now I can't remember where I put it.
Cameron is doing really well. I have registered him in soccer and he is absolutely thrilled about it. My only concern is getting Adam to sit down during Cameron's games. Last year, he kept running onto the field to try to play!!
Adam became really sick this past week. And it was not fun. He got a bleeding nose so bad it was just gushing out and even out of his mouth! I took him to emergency and he had a blood test and a chest xray. He was so cute, though. After the blood test, he asked me, "Mommy, do i still have a heart? I said yes, Adam, you still have a heart!" And for the chest xray, the xray technician was very impressed with him. I overheard him say to his colleagues, this little boy is so still! Probably the best child I've had for an xray and he's only 3!" I was really happy. Thankfully, Adam is on the mend. The only concern I have is he's convinced he has no more blood. Since they took it all out at the hospital!
Anyways, I am just here hanging out. I feel like life is finally going smoothly and I am happy.
Te Quiero!

Normal

Ahhh, it has been an insanely long time since i have really posted something on here. But today i felt like I should.
I feel happy today. I felt happy yesterday. It's so weird but the past 5 months and 27 days i have felt empty. You know, like, sometimes i would feel good, but other times i could care less what people did or thought. it was like i had lost compassion for other people.
but yesterday as i was at Cubs, i felt really good. And i felt so happy when i left.
Then today as i was looking for some papers in my bookcase, i came across an item i had misplaced. The week Mackenzie died i lost my usb cable for my mp3 player. I couldn't find it anywhere! Today i found it. And i don't know, how to describe the feeling, but it was like, i found a piece of my soul. Seriously, i listened to this mp3 player all the time before. And i listened to it when i would clean and it was like, i found a piece of my old life. Crazy, eh?
I feel normal. which i haven't felt in a long time.

Out In The Open

Well, I know a lot of people read this blog. More than I know or even really can comprehend. And I haven't spoken about this. And I was wondering.....should I really bring this up? A friend of mine knows my situation and she said,"you don't really owe people an announcement". Which is true. It's not really anybody's business.
My inlaws know about this. And I was, like, well, if they know, then it doesn't really matter anymore.
I don't really owe people an announcement, but i felt like I'd be holding back a BIG part of my life right now if I didn't say anything. I also know how some people would react. Surprised, I know a lot of people would be. Maybe even judgemental, who knows?
So here goes.
I have a boyfriend. His name is Eden Rodriguez. He is from Mexico and he lives here in Swift Current. He is a part of the branch I go to. He's 23. He speaks fluent english. He served a mission to Albequrque, New Mexico. He currently serves as a branch missionary and the Sunday School teacher for the youth.
there you go.

McDonalds, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and a Pizza Hut

I never really ate too much fast food. I think we would go a couple months before we ever went out to eat.
But in the past 3 months, I have eaten way more fast food than I ever have in the past 7 years. Like, every single day! Popcorn chicken at KFC, Bagels at Tim Hortons, Mama Burgers at A&W, can you see the fat excreting from my pores?
My poor heart.
I don't know how it all started....wait I know. Whenever Mackenzie was gone, I would always just feed the kids cereal or something that didn't require cooking. So now it is just the 3 of us, I find it really hard to cook. I think I only really cook like once every ten days.
Today I decided, enough is enough. I went to a place that has become so foreign to me....a grocery store. I wandered up and down the aisles....wondering what should I buy? well, I bought some cereal, carrots, tomatos, chicken, milk, yogurt....the list went on.
Hopefully, now I will be able to get back into the swing of things, and have a home cooked meal made by me every night!
