Killing ourselves
Jax got a gun for Christmas. He's been shooting everything and everyone in sight. Even those things not in sight, aka bears and monsters.
Last night, he started shooting himself:

Christmas 2009
This year was awesome! I have to admit, the best present was coming home from vacation to my kids.
Since the summer, Jax has wanted a skateboardie. Well.. Santa delivered and he was SUPER happy!

Kaja was so excited for everything. When people ask her what Santa brought her, she says, "Chapstick on a string"

Jax got this 4 wheeler. He rides it everywhere!
I got a flip video camera for Christmas. I took it everywhere and forgot my camera, so the next post will be of videos!
Cancun
My grandparents took 41 of us to Cancun for Christmas. We were gone from Dec. 18 - Dec. 23. It was so much fun. Kaj and Jax stayed home with Dave and Amy. We missed them!!

Fun in the Snow
We've gotten a lot of snow the last 2 days. This morning, I was going out to use the snowblower. I got the kids ready to come with me!! Kaja's pants are are 2 years old, a size 3T. I just loosened the suspenders. We haven't bought snow boots for this year and so Jax is wearing Kaja's old ones!!
Blake was asleep when I went out with the kids, so when he woke up he had to get in on the action and eat Kaja's snow boots!!

Who am I?
I've been thinking about posting this for a few days, but never had the guts. I mean if you know me, nothing in my life is secret, I TALK A LOT. About the good, the bad, and the ugly. But this is pretty personal!!! (At least to me!!) It's hard to talk about especially since when I read blogs and facebook, life seems pretty hunky dory for most people. So here goes:
Sometimes I don't like who I'm becoming. I used to consider myself pretty patient. I taught 200+ junior high students a year and didn't really lose my temper too much (I probably should have more often). I was pretty even keel when it came to my mood. Now I feel like I'm all over the place.
I get angry so much more often. Sometimes, it doesn't even take anything to set me off. I yell at my kids, get upset with them, and then feel horrible about it. But then a few minutes later, it starts all over again. I feel so out of control at these times. I can't help but get angry!!
This makes me feel even worse! I talk to my kids about talking nice and not yelling, but I know that they learned it from me. How do you get through it?
I know I'm a good mom. My kids are happy and healthy. I am teaching them to be obedient and respectful. They are learning what they need to. I give them opportunities to have fun and grow, but....
I have this issue with my emotions. I hate getting angry at my kids and I don't know how to fix it!
I haven't re-read this to see if it makes sense, because quite frankly, I don't want to cry again. Just the life of a mom!!

A habit returns
What to do if you don't have a pocket
As I was getting Jax dressed this morning, this is our conversation:
When I opened his diaper, he had a fruit roll up in the back. I guess he didn't have a pocket so he stuffed it in his diaper for later.
I was reminded of something I saw yesterday. I was returning some shoes to Payless. As I was leaving the cashier was going to help someone. I don't know if she saw me, but she stuffed her phone down her pants in back because she didn't have a pocket either. YUCK!!
Jax: ??? is in my diaper (I didn't hear what he said)
Me: Pee, pee?
Jax: No, I'm saving it for later (He's been saving stuff for later in his pocket)

Halloween 2009
We had a great Halloween!! The kids got to use their costumes 5 times this year!! We had a Halloween Dance Recital/Party, friend party, parade and carnival at school, ward trunk or treat, neighborhood trick or treating. Paul had a soccer game and we had already collected candy from the ward trunk or treat, so we went trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood. The kids LOVED it!
Here is Blake waiting for the Halloween Parade at Kaja's school!
Jaxon waiting!

Jax was showing his sword to the camera!
The next 2 pictures show how difficult it was for my kids to stop moving for the pictures! They just wanted to go trick or treating!

Finally, all three of them! My dad was working so hard behind me to just get them to sit still!

Kaja's Halloween Dance Party
Too funny!
Yesterday for church, Kaja was wearing panties, tights, panty covers ( so when she doesn't sit like a lady her panties don't show) and her skirt. After church, she went to the bathroom and came out with her clothes around her ankles.
She said, "Mom, I can't figure out what goes on my bum first!"
After laughing, I helped her figure it out!!
