Heather (Smith) tagged me.
Quirk #1: I speak to my alarm clock. Well, oftentimes, it's more of a yell. I also sometimes speak to myself as I'm going to bed.

Quirk #2: I record Judge Judy every day, and watch it just before I go to sleep. My favorite Judge Judy moment (so far) is when a woman was explaining that a deer had hit her car, and Judge Judy asked what she had done with the deer, and in her white trashiest, southern-est accent she said, "I ate it!!" Quality television right there, people. (I also record and watch the Ellen show before going to bed).

Quirk #3: This is super gross... super, super gross... I like to watch zits pop. I know!!!! Disgusting!!!! But, it fascinates me.  I was a bit jealous when a friend got a job at a dermatologist's office, and all she does all day long is pop zits. I could live that kind of life. People I know often come to me for help popping stubborn zits. I have a gift.

Quirk #4: I will NOT, absolutely will NOT go to bed without flossing and brushing my teeth. In fact, I bet it has been more than ten years since I've skipped a night. I do not take my flossing duties lightly... I can't, for I have two bridges, which require extra tools. I also have a Sonicare toothbrush, that has a timer, so it turns itself off after two minutes. I'm a very precise oral caretaker. Maybe I should have been a dental hygienist. (By the way, I just checked, and I have seven containers of dental floss in my vanity right now.)

Quirk #5: I love pickles. Whenever I go to Subway, I ask for lots of pickles. After piling them on, they will ask me if that is enough, to which I respond, "No!" There is no such thing as enough pickles.

Quirk #6: My favorite restaurant has been determined by the croutons they have at their salad bar. Ruby Tuesday... the closest one is in Draper, but my favorite one is in West Valley City.

For the record... I could have written 50 more.
Do you want another one? Ok...

Quirk #7 (kind of like an encore): I still make funny faces at myself in the mirror.

I tag: Disneyland Em, Heather (Manwaring), Tracy, Lisa/Aaron, and anyone else who wants to do it!

Mr. Mosquito, RIP

Dear Mr. Mosquito,

Thank you for not biting me as we shared a bed last night. I'm sorry for yelling at you this morning... but you took my by surprise. I thought I had spent the night alone. I'm also sorry for killing you. I just need that space to be "my space." It's nothing personal, really.
Yours truly,
me

Fingers Crossed

My mom goes in for another round of chemo tomorrow. I'm hoping that this round doesn't knock her out the way her first round did. She has been extremely sick for the last three weeks. Amazingly, however, she still has hair! (not much, though) We've decided that the reason why is because she had enough hair on her head to cover three heads. So, she did lose a normal amount of hair for chemo- and for most people, that would have been every hair on their head, but not for my mom. I'm sure this second round will take care of the rest of it. She has to have additional medicines, because unfortunately, the cancer has spread to her bones. They are hoping that they can control it for at least a while longer, but they have told us there would be no cure for it. So, that is discouraging. But, miracles happen... and that's what we're praying for.
