Yes it has been forever since my last post.... of course.  I have a lot of catching up to do especially about our amazing trip to Europe! We had sooooo much fun and made so many memories! We experienced so many incredible things together. It will probably take me a couple of posts to cover everything! Our first stop was Paris, France.  We left Phoenix early early Saturday morning and arrived in Paris, France Sunday morning.... because of the time difference we had to just keep ourselves awake all day so we could adjust to the time.  It was pretty easy to do though being in Paris!! When we finally go to sleep we had been up for more than 36 hours needless to say.. we slept REALLY good that night! Paris was amazing. It all just felt like a dream being  there. We got to see the major sights in Paris including, Eiffel tower, Arc De Triumph, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, famous shopping districts, cute Parisian cafes, and much more!!! Here is a video I made that shows many places we visited in Paris.

Graduation

Woo Hoo!!! Andrew is graduated! I honestly don’t know who is more excited … I think it might be me! I am glad to have him back! He has worked so hard and I could not be more proud of him! We had a wonderful day at graduation & celebrated all day!  Andrew ended up with a 4.0 GPA for the semester and graduated Summa Cum Laude!!!  His hard work and dedication has definitely paid off!!

Now that school is out..we are rewarding ourselves by going on a European Vacation!!! Which has been quite the story in its self….  We have been putting aside extra money in addition to our normal savings for quite a while now in hopes that we would be able to go to Europe.  We found amazing priced tickets earlier this year and purchased them.  Before we purchased them we had been going back and forth with dates and decided to leave 3 days after graduation.  We kept thinking about it and just had the feeling it would be better to wait another week after graduation.  So we booked the tickets and began to start planning!   Just a couple weeks ago.. Andrew received an e-mail that the ATSAT test ( A test he has to take in order to be hired by the FAA) was scheduled to be taken May 10th! It has never been after graduation in the past 3 semesters… but we were relieved that we had booked the later tickets so that he would be here for the test!   Or so we thought… until  LAST WEEK…. 2 days before graduation the FAA decided to change the test to May 21st!!! Right in the middle of our trip…  are you kidding me? Really?   Andrew called one of his instructors that is close with the FAA and asked what to do… he said to call the testing phone number and they should be able to set him up with taking the test in another state he would just have to pay to travel there…. So we thought we were safe and that would work… But of course Phoenix is the last testing site … FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!    Needless to say we would like Andrew to be able to get a job so… we are having to re-schedule our entire trip… which is frustrating, exhausting and EXPENSIVE…  but it should all work out!   I am pretty sure going to France, Germany, Austria and Italy will make up for it right??

Smashing...

I am in love with the idea of smash books! Have you heard of them? If not go here !! I just recently started one and I love it!! I have kept things such as (movie ticket stubs, notes, concert tickets) from so long ago and especially a ton of stuff from when we were dating. I just had all of it in a bag not ever knowing what I would do with it. I just knew that I couldn’t part with all of the memories. Now I have a place to put everything and it is a fun way to look at all of the fun things we have done together! There is no rhyme or reason to a smash book. It can be whatever you want it to be! Try it!!

BTW we had an awesome Christmas and New Years! We loved spending so much time with our families and each other! Andrew yet again made the Dean’s List and got a 4.06 GPA!! He is so smart and LOVES what he is doing!! I just can’t believe he will be done in May! We are really looking forward to this year!! 2012 will bring a lot of changes into our lives! We are looking forward to all the exciting events this year holds!

Summer Vacay... better late than never!

Catch up on our month of August.... in October.... at least it has only been 2 months this time right?

In August the day after Andrews Birthday we went on a little getaway before school started back up. We went up to L.A. for a couple days and then down to San Diego and stayed as well. It was such a fun trip and a much needed get away before school started. We had all kinds of adventures when we were there!

We walked down Hollywood blvd and saw some footprints at Grauman’s Chinese theater. We saw some stars on the walk of fame. We also went to The Hollywood Museum. The day we went it happened to be Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday! I Love Lucy!! They had lots of cool Lucy memorabilia.

We went to the L.A. Fashion district in downtown Los Angeles. It was a little overwhelming but SO much fun!! Such cute clothes for so little $$!! ( of course this was one of my favorite parts of the trip)

I was in love with L.A.’s transportation system- the metro. Seriously it makes life so easy!! We rode it everywhere! We even ended up adventuring over to China Town one day!

We went to Beverly Hills as well just for fun!

In San Diego we had to go to the beach first of course!

We went on the USS midway!!! It is amazing how big that ship is! The San Diego harbor is BEAUTIFUL from everywhere you are on the midway! Andrew was especially in heaven with all the airplanes.

Last But not Least… We went Parasailing in San Diego..over the Pacific Ocean! It was awesome!!! We were parasailing right by mission beach. SO MUCH FUN!

We had so much fun. We always do. I am glad we got to spend some time together before school started. I just can't believe it is already October and the semester is almost half way over!!! Time goes WAY to fast!!

June

Yes... i know its July but I had to post about June!! We had a wonderful month of June!! It was crazy busy as usual but we wouldn’t have it any other way! June is always my favorite month of the year… might have something to do with the fact that it is my birthday month!!

My sweet Grandma and I have always celebrated our birthdays together. This year was no exception. The first thing we did on her birthday was get pedicures!! What other grandma do you know that wanted her toes painted blue with blue sparkles? She said that she wanted to do something crazy… After all she is 81!

After our pedicures we all went to lunch @ Nandos YUM!

Then we opened presents and just had fun! I love my grandma so much. She is such a wonderful example to me and always has been!! I hope I have as much fun as her on my 81st birthday!!

Andrew had surprised me at work a couple days before my birthday with these BEAUTIFUL roses!!!!! I am so lucky to have him!!! He is always doing sweet and thoughtful things for me!

My birthday was wonderful! Andrew had arranged for me to come down to Phx Sky Harbor to take a tour of the tower and see all the cool things he is doing!! It was a really awesome experience. The best part was seeing him so excited about everything he is doing there. He absolutely could not be happier!

Once Andrew was done with his internship we went to lunch with my family @ Texas Roadhouse…. YUM! Didn’t realize that they made you straddle a saddle on your birthday though!!! That was a surprise for sure!!

Later that night we headed back home to get ready to go out to dinner just the two of us. When we got home our house was full of our sweet friends! Andrew had planned a surprise party for me! We had tons of fun and I am so thankful I could celebrate my birthday with our good friends. It was a wonderful birthday! Plus I got this……………

A brand new laptop!!! Woo hoo!

The next day we headed down to safford with my parents. They had planned a surprise party for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. It was wonderful to see them and celebrate with them. We got to see lots of family that we hadn’t seen in forever!

It was a busy couple of days but SO much fun, family, and friends! We are so lucky to have such wonderful family to spend time with!!
