It has been over a year since my last post and all I have for an excuse (like everyone else) is that life is so busy. I suppose it is finally time to catch up our blog. Thanks for all of my persistent friends asking about our blog, letting me know it is worth the effort. :-)
I am going to try to briefly summarize a year's worth of highlights (since my last post) in a day (or two) starting with finishing our pictures of our trip to Paris last May!!! Stay tuned... posts are coming..

Day 1 and 2 in Paris!
We have loved every minute so far. Here are a few highlights of places we have seen and been.
So far, we have seen the Eiffel Tower (day and at night). We went to the Cathedral de Notre Dame (amazing) and climbed to the top.
We went to the Arch de Triumphe and also climbed to the top. Down the Champs-Elysees.
We love the bakeries and architecture is beautiful.

Lanier Christmas Party 2008

Miley Cyrus at the party? Yeah, she was. This year we were so excited to attend Mark Lanier's annual Christmas party at his ranch in Houston. They always have a great party and performers but this year the kids really loved it since Miley Cyrus gave a private concert. There was a petty zoo, free pony rides, amusement park-type rides, a train, lots of bouncy things, and food-fajitas, bbq, hot chocolate stands, coke stands, and more. They really know how to throw a party! I think us mom's had the most fun.
You can read more about it on several web sites:

Let it snow!
Seriously, we had snow- and not just a little skiff but a few inches on the ground. About 6 in the morning the rain turned to snowflakes and the kids woke up to find the grass and rooftops scattered with a white powdery snow. We thought we had really seen something but then later that afternoon it began to snow again and the flakes got larger and larger. Hayley's first inclination was to go outside and taste the snow flakes. We even got to make a snow man and snow angels--something I never thought we would be doing here in Texas.
