Why I never post....

I CAN'T GET ANNA TO LOOK AT THE CAMERA!!!!!! She got out her puppy that matched the puppies that are smocked on her dress and I thought, "What a cute picture that would be!" So I ran and got my camera thinking I would get this adorable pic... I was asking her to look at the circle in my camera and she started pointing to the ceiling saying that it was in the light fixture above her head! And of course she thinks she's hilarious....

Oh, well. Better luck next time!

Anna's Wish

A couple of weeks ago, Anna and I were eating lunch with my mom and Anna saw a water fountain in the restaurant. She immediately wanted some money to "make a wish" and throw in the water. When we left, my mom gave her some change. She took the money, held it to her heart, and closed her eyes as she made her wish: "I wish, I wish to go fishing with my Daddy." Is that not the most precious thing?! I told Chris and he promised to take her as soon as the weather got better. We went to Lake Houston the day before Valentines Day and Anna got her wish...

This is a phrase I hear several times a day...along with, "Lips please," "Could I have some lips?" and "I need Mommy lips!" A few days ago Anna was in the bathroom and it was VERY quiet....so I peeked in to check on her and she had pulled her potty stool up to the counter so she could see herself in the mirror. A ran to get my camera to capture Miss Priss in action:

Anna (and I) got to meet one of Chris' clients, Owen Daniels, last night. (Owen is a tight end for the Houston Texans.) Here she is decked out in her Texans gear before we left the house...

Anna Greenway's puppy

Yesterday we went to my SIL's house for a baby shower for my soon to arrive niece, Lakyn. Anna had the best time playing with the TEN puppies that one of their dogs had a few weeks ago. Anna was carrying those puppies around all over the place! When asked what this puppy's name was, she replied, "Anna Greenway's puppy." She's such a mess! And NO we did not take one home!

Daddy painted my fingernails!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted....and I can't believe Anna will be two in just a few short days! Tonight after dinner Daddy took Anna's dress off, put a t-shirt on her, and asked her if she wanted him to paint her fingernails. (a task that I have yet to take on...didn't think she'd sit still long enough for them to dry!) It was the cutest thing and Anna just loved it!

Bluebonnets

We had Anna's picture taken in the bluebonnets on the day she turned 21 months old. Chris and I jumped in and got a family photo too since we were both there. Becki did such a great job and I am so thrilled to have these pictures!

Can you believe it?!

Miss Anna is 20 months old today, and I sure can't believe she is just 4 months shy of her second birthday! She is growing and learning so much every day, and we love her soooooo much! What Anna is up to at 20 months:

Talking up a storm! Repeating EVERYTHING! Identifying all of the letters of the alphabet, numbers 1-10, colors, and shapes. Naming animals and their sounds.

One of her favorite things to do is read books. Her current favorites are all of the Biscuit "I Can Read" books. She also loves Brown Bear, Brown Bear and We're Going on a Bear Hunt.

She is starting to put words together...."read a book" "help Mommy/Daddy" "I love you" (our favorite) "yep, I'm sleepy" "_______, please" "excuse me" "thank you" "you're welcome" "hear a puppy/bird" "hear it?" "light on/off" "hide me" "I do it" "hold it" "watch T.V." "Hi, everybody!" "go bye-bye" "you OK?" "play Play-Doh" "brush your teeth" "I see a _______"

She loves all things puppy and all things Tinkerbell.

Anna wants to play OUTSIDE all the time....she loves the outdoors! She likes to go down the "big slide" at the neighborhood play park and asks to "ride wagon" almost every day.

She just went to the zoo with her Daddy and MiMi on Sunday and had a ball. I have a feeling we'll be making many trips to the zoo in the upcoming months!
