Party Princess (Part 3)

Sunday evening we had Grandma and Grandpa Yeates over for dinner and birthday celebration #3!
Sabrina really wanted a "castle" cake...
I thought it turned out pretty cute. And, it was actually WAY easier than the princess cake I attempted to make her last year.
SO happy about the movie "Tangled"...
You just aren't complete until you have the Rapunzel polly pockets. Check out that grin! (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa)
And this little guy just parked himself on Grandpa's lap the entire night! Grandpa shared everything with him....his food, his cell phone, his cake...Thanks Gramps!
Happy Birthday Sabrina! You make life so much fun! We sure love you and are SO glad you are a part of our crazy family!!!

Party Princess (Part 2)

Saturday night, we had Grandma and Grandpa Barker, Uncle Corey (they came up from Vegas for Conference), Aunt Crystal, Uncle Jerel and all their cute kids over! The guys went to the Priesthood session and us girls (and kids) hung out. We ate tons of pizza and then sang "Happy Birthday" to Sabrina over donuts and ice cream. It was a lot of fun--and as usual, the kids had a BLAST playing together. :) Thanks to everyone for making the trip out to our place. We love you and enjoyed our time together.

Seth meeting Uncle Corey for the first time...
Say "cheese"...
Yes, those are bowls FULL of Hershey's chocolate syrup...with a little bit of donut and ice cream on the side! (Uncle Corey is TOTALLY to blame for this one!) :)

Party Princess (Part 1)

My little Sabrina turned 4th this last weekend! We had an entire weekend of parties.......SO FUN! Friday she had a princess party with her cousins and some little friends from the neighborhood. Sabrina wanted to be Rapunzel...
We made necklaces...
We painted fingernails...
We even had our own little "tea-party"...
There were presents and games...
And we had a very special guest.....SNOW WHITE!
Snow White read the little princesses her story and took pictures with each of them. She was FABULOUS!
A HUGE "Thank You" to Aunt Crystal, Aunt Megan and Heather (Snow White) for helping make Sabrina's birthday party so much fun! I love you all!

Tae Kwon Do State Championships 2011

Isaac came home with two 2nd place trophies this last weekend! He scored really well on both of his forms, and his sparring was AWESOME!!! In his last two competitions, Isaac has been scared to death of sparring---lots of crying and tears (even though he ended up taking 1st place--he hated every minute of it). So this time, being his first time competing as a black belt, had me very nervous. But, he totally surprised me! He went out on that mat and gave it his all. He really went for it! And it paid off!

Poomsae:
Getting his gear on.......
Sparring:
Relaxing with a couple of his friends.....enjoying watching/cheering on the others competitors...
I guess we'll be heading to Nationals now!

Isaac's County Fair Project

Isaac chose Washington County for his school project this year. He did a great job on his report and display board. His teacher asked if she could keep it and use it as an example for future students--that made for one proud little boy--you should've seen his smile! :)

Johnny had to get in on the action, of course! Always the clown that one...

Piano Festival

Isabelle, Isaac and Johnny all participated in the 'Northern Utah Valley Piano Festival' this year. And all three did really well. They each had to learn and memorize 2 pieces to play in front of judges. Isabelle and Johnny each scored a 37/40. And Isaac scored a 39/40 and qualified to go on to the playoffs! At the playoffs he received a 9/10 and won $10. He was pretty excited. He was also invited to play at an 'honor recital' this week. Way to go Isaac!

Disney On Ice

I enjoyed a fun mother-daughter date with Sabrina the other night. We went to Disney On Ice and we LOVED every minute of it! It was SO fun to watch Sabrina's eyes light up every time a princess took the ice, and to hear her little giggles and see her dance in her seat. She was completely mesmerized by it all. She's absolutely in love with Minnie Mouse which made it all the more fun since the show this time really centered around 'Princess Minnie'. Sabrina got a Minnie Mouse light spinner as a souvenir and enjoyed spinning it in the back seat of the car ALL THE WAY HOME! I hope it wasn't as distracting for the other drivers as it was for me. :)
