Carson and his cousin Brooklyn were one of the lucky few children chosen to ride the Polar Express, and where nice enough to invite their parents and baby brothers to tag along for the ride. We boarded the train in Williams Arizona (by Flagstaff) and drove through the magic tunnel to get to the North Pole to see Santa. On our trip they served us hot chocolate and cookies, and they read the story of The Polar Express. Santa then came on the train to give all those who truly believe a bell. Carson and Tanner both got one, but sadly mom and dad did not (we must not be believers I guess). Then on our way back from the North Pole we sang Christmas carols.

1 Month
Weight: 9.4 pounds(30%)
Length: 22 inches (75%)
Head: (50%)
Can you believe my baby is already one month? I can't. It feels like he just got here. He has been the most perfect baby and is such a cutie. He is growing too big and I keep telling him to stop, to be my little baby forever, but he won't listen. The only thing I have to worry about Tanner is how to keep him from being smothered by his older brother.
I got the idea for a monthly baby picture here, and just had to copy it.
Because he didn't want to be left out, here is Carson's photo shoot.

My Precious Baby Boy
Once again I am amazed at the instant love that I have for my precious little boy. He is absolutely adorable and I can't stop feeling in awe that I was intrusted with such a beautiful boy. I just love him!

These photos were taken by, once again, another member of my ward Margie Hess. She did a beautiful job. I love them all!

Happenings
This past week we've had lots of visitors. We were first visited by my aunt and uncle and cousins! I wish I could say they came to see me, but they came to see my cousin Scott and his wife Stephanie who live here in Tucson. It was great to see them. Even though I haven't seen them for a while when we get together its like no time has past.
Brads best friend Jordan flew into town to interview for a hospital residency position here in Tucson. Its so nice to see old friends! He flew in Tuesday afternoon and was leaving the next day so it was going to be a relatively quick trip. Jordan's wife Jenny was 37 weeks pregnant and due in another 3 weeks. We teased him that his wife would have the baby while he was gone, and sure enough he woke up Wednesday morning with lots of missed calls and a message saying he was the proud new father of a baby girl. We all felt so bad, but hopefully he made it worth it and got the residency position.
We had to say good-bye to my mom this week. I definitely was spoiled. She stayed 3 weeks, and it was sad to see her go. She helped out so much and helped make the transition from 1 to 2 kids easier.
Brad and I will be celebrating our 7 year anniversary on the 12th, and since my mom left on the 9th we decided to celebrate a week early so she could watch the kids. Brad got box office seats to the UofA vs. UofU football game through work. It was so fun to watch the game VIP style. They even served us prime rib for dinner. It was nice to have some alone time with my hubby since we rarely get that anymore. Although Brad's co-workers did blame us for Arizona's loss since we're from Utah.

Halloween 2011
My sleepy little lion:
Carson LOVES Halloween! For the past two weeks he has been going around telling everyone Happy Halloween or that he wants to go to a pumpkin patch. He had so much fun at our wards trunk or treat going from car to car saying "treat!" Then on actual Halloween night when we got our first trick or treaters, Carson ran after them wanting to go with them even though he didn't have his costume on yet. Needless to say he could have gone trick or treating all night if we would have let him. He woke up this morning wanting to eat candy for breakfast. I think this just might be his favorite holiday!
