Party hard!

On Dean's birthday we had a few friends over for pizza and root beer floats and of course opening presents! He knew exactly what to do with the gifts. haha He also had some help from his very excited brother which was good this time since he had to do it one handed. He loves trains and got a few trains gifts from us and from his grandma which he loved! It was a fun and relaxed night.

The next day we had a birthday bash with all the cousins and celebrated a total of five birthdays! I made him a train cake and he got to open even more presents!

We had a fun weekend celebrating our boy! Love him!

Dean is two!

My baby is officially not a baby anymore. (good thing I have another baby on the way! hehe) I wanted to get some nice pictures of him. You know ones where he isn't covered in sand or covered in anything for that matter. On our way to take the pictures he fell asleep so of course he didn't cooperate at all. I was surprised and happy with how good of pictures we got. We had to get at least one picture of him is his sun glasses, he loves them.

I seriously love this boy. He is a total momma's boy, which makes my heart happy. He smiles for no reason a lot. He wants to be just like his big brother. Loves to watch his dad and big brother play monster. He plays sometimes but gets scared easily. He is very helpful, likes to help me empty the dishwasher. He needs to check in with momma frequently while playing. He loves his blanky which calls, "bebe." His favorite thing is trains right now which he calls, "choo choo" He also really likes animals, thankfully our neighbors have a dog that he plays with. We are excited to see what this year brings for him and have more of his sweet personality come through.

Bubble Time

My mom, Ashley, Brixley and Josie came down to visit us this last week. When they were here Ashley made some super strength bubbles and the kids had a blast! Brixley was terrified to run around with the boys and mostly just watched from afar.

A day at the park

We finally had a nice warm Saturday this weekend. Beau decided to take advantage of the day and ran to the store and got a soccer ball for the boys and we all headed to the park. It was exactly what we all needed!

Then we headed over to the playground for some more fun! Dean loved climbing the ladder to the slide, I was sure he was going to fall and get hurt bad with how clumsy he is but he did great!

A laundry room worth looking at

So the hubby got a burst of energy to work on a project so, all my plans for our laundry room were finally finished! Here is the before...

As you can see it is tiny. Not only is it tiny but it is also the hallway into the garage. This is not a true before picture. 99% of the time the top of the washer and dryer is covered with random junk.

We had a leftover cabinet from our kitchen remodel which we hung above the washer and dryer with some shelves. We added crown molding and a tiny piece of molding to the bottom.

Then we painted it all and added some handles.

Then came the pretty stuff!! I used some frames I got from my grandma and spray painted them green and added from fun quotes. I searched free laundry printable on pinterest and chose the ones that I thought fit us. I got the giant safety pin and the green ceramic bird from Real Deals. The green bin is from Target and the giant cookie jar I am using for soap is from Walmart.

I put up another quote and some command hooks for my aprons and a place to hang dry a few items on this little wall between the doors.

Then between the dryer and the wall is enough room for a skinny laundry hamper. Perfect for my dirty towels from the kitchen.

I love how it turned out. I have more room to store things and can keep it more organized. The bright colors make me happy and now I can leave the door to my laundry room open with out feeling embarrassed.

Special thanks to my hubby that worked so hard and did a awesome job! I love it!
