Oakland Zoo

I also went to the Oakland Zoo while there. We totally got HOSED on this train ride Not only did we stand in for an HOUR and pay $3.00 a person but the ride was like 5 mins. They made it sound all exciting -we would get to see a special part of the zoo (Emus and Walaroos) and made it seem like it was gonna be 20 mins…NOPE! LAME!

More Point Reyes…Elk

One thing I was shocked to see at Point Reyes was ELK. We ran into a whole herd of ‘em. It was really cool…check out the pics and video…The pics are the clearest cause it was super foggy.

Point Reyes, Ca

I saw on Good Morning America Point Reyes was supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in America. Since I was headed to the Bay Area anyway, I figured let’s GO!

Yep, it was SOOO foggy we couldn’t see anything. No sea lions or whales, which you are supposed to be able to see. Needless to say I was disappointed.

Katy Perry Concert

After we got back from Yellowstone we decided to go to the Katy Perry concert, since she was in town. It was a spur of the moment thing, but we got really good seats. The venue was small but she put on a REALLY big show. Paul’s been to LOTS of concerts and said it was one of the biggest productions he’s seen. She was really personable and played to the crowd well. There were fireworks, giant beach balls, bubbles, confetti and cannons full of foam…all in all, I had a really good time. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera, so you will have to settle for other peeps vids/pics.

Jackson Hole, Wy

Part of the Yellowstone trip included the Tetons, where we ran into the bear, and rafting. Here are those pics.

Our rafting trip had to be adjusted because of the dangerous conditions at the time. The water was more than 10x higher than what the normal levels were for the time of year and cold. They made us wear wetsuits and go on a bigger raft then planned. But it was still a good time.
