Well I will say this...

I am not the best blogger in the world. I haven't been keeping up with my journal and now I have failed at this. How am I suppose to remember the important times if I don't write them down? Update I am going to be having a baby somewhere around June 29th, we will see when this little one decides to come. We don't know what it is other than a human baby. I figure since we have one of each it doesn't matter. Carter is a talker he says full sentences that make my mouth drop open and I say did he just say what I think he said. My favorite so far is "I don't want daddy" It was great. Juliane is a chatter box and so energetic. She is enjoying learning her letters, numbers and colors but not as much as I want her to. I want her to know them already but she knows that and does a good job at testing my patience teaching her. Charles is trying to lose weight with his brothers and sisters but is having a hard time because he needs to have knee surgery. It is very hard to lose weight when you can't work out let alone go on a walk. I feel for the guy. We will see when his surgery is at our May 11th Dr appointment. We are doing great and that is about it. We are boring doing the same thing every day. I have been enjoying pulling weeds in our yard and fixing it up since we are going to be here for another 2 years at least. I am excited for what the town is doing, they are remodeling for lack of a better word. We should have a park right next to our house in the next year along with a new gym and indoor pool. I can't wait. Maybe I will get better at this if I ever get a chance to sit at the computer.

May-July

I have been lazy and have not been posting or reading blogs it is bad, even facebook has gone out the window for me. I don't think its because I'm busy I think it is because I am too lazy to deal with the kids coming and bothering me while I'm in the computer room. Then when it is nap time I don't want to be doing those things therefore it is because I am lazy.

May
May was pretty uneventful we stayed home and Charles went on a lot of campouts with the Young Men. Charles took Carter to the father and sons campout and when he was at scout camp they were evacuated because the Wallow fire was a mile away from camp.


June
We went to a few weddings in June but the real fun came at the end of the month when I found Carter's first tooth and we flew to Wisconsin.



July
In Wisconsin we played on the swingset at Charles' Uncle Jerry and Aunt Nancy's house. I made all the little girls in our family pillowcase dresses and we took pictures of the girls that were there in them. It was a lot of fun as a family we went to Wisconsin Dells where we went on a Duck tour went to Noah's Ark water park and Tommy Bartlet show. We also went to a wedding at the end of the month.







Time just keeps going by so fast the kids have grown up in the blink of an eye. The next few months should be fun and uneventful just like the last few.

Where does time go?

Juliane will be 2 in just 3 months I feel like I just had her but sadly Carter will be 5 months in 2 weeks I hate that they grow so fast. Carter is growing fast and is much larger than his sister. He is weighing in at 14 lbs 14 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. Juliane is only 6 lbs heavier than Carter I think he will catch up quick. Juliane is as fun as she has ever been giving me a run for my money. We started potty training in April and it went really well she rarely has an accident stays dry all night the only down side is that since we started she doesn't sleep past 6am I miss alone time in the mornings. We also have her in a big girl bed which leaves the crib for Carter. The kids are great.



Goings on!

As a family we went to a friends wedding on the way home we bought a milkshake that I thought was terrible so I gave it to Juliane she likes sugar. Well it turned out to be a disaster she spilt it all over herself so we had to clean her up. It was 32 degrees outside and the poor girl had to be cleaned off she was shivering. The only clothes I had were Carters so that is what she wore home.


The kids and I took a trip to Bullhead City to visit my family this is where Juliane learned how to sit on a swing by herself.


She also learned what a play area is in McDonalds.


We went to Tucson for Charles' job training and when we went to a restaurant when Juliane was in trouble she got put in timeout aka the corner of the booth we were sitting in.


While we were at Olive Garden she decided to decorate her head with noodles.



We went camping!
Juliane's second trip Carter's first. Charles and I both love camping but we haven't done it that much since we've been married. I convinced him to buy a tent and that brought on the agreement that we need to go camping 5 times this year. This is trip #1.






Easter
Easter was great neither of the kids knew what was going on but we had a good day celebrating the resurection of our savior.

Charles was kind enough to take Carter on the father and sons camping trip. I hear Carter was well taken care of.

February to Now

Well we haven't had a lot of excitment going on but a fair amount. In February we watched the superbowl and cheered on the Packers all the way to victory. Carter wore the sleeper that Charles' mom made for his brother Andrew when he was a baby. Andrew, Charles and James have all worn it when they were babies. I can't wait for more Hughes boys to wear it.


































I had Carter in the kitchen with me and Juliane attacked I have no idea what she did if you have any theories let me know but here is a picture of the damages.





















Juliane is my little mommy she copies everything I do around the house and with Carter she has the most loved baby dolls.


























Carter started sucking his thumb and I had to take pictures before I broke him of the habit.



















Renaissance Festival
We went to the renaissance festival and had so much fun we went to the petting farm and Juliane rode the butterly ride which she did not want to get off of. I had to keep asking the worker if she could stay.



















































The same weekend of the renaissance festival we went to Danielle's baby blessing. Here is Carter next to his cousin Danielle, she is so tiny compared to our tank.





































Charles got me a present for my birthday and wanted me to Open it early it was a Wii with a balance board and Wii fit plus. It has been fun to play and it gives you a nice sweat.



























Juliane and Carter love each other so much it is fun to watch them play together and laugh together; they even hold hands in the car.






















































































The Retaining Wall
The major news is that we finally built our retaining wall. I was way happy when this happend, I have only been waiting a year for it to come. Charles and some friends from church made this happen in just two short days. I don't have pictures of the starting product but it was horrible.

Busy Bees

As I said earlier we had family in town for the week after Christmas and it was a lot of fun but it was hard to adjust to two kids when there were 7 kids living at my house. After everyone left I adjusted and life became a routine again. We decided to become a one car family again and I sold my Dodge Neon after owning it for 10 years. Charles' nephew Hunter was baptized in Houston Texas so we drove out there for it along with Charles' parents.
It was a tight fit in our truck but we all made it in one piece. On our way back to Morenci we ran into snow in El Paso I don't think there is a single person in that city that knows how to drive in the snow because we saw over 2 dozen accidents on the freeway. Juliane has a cousin that is 18 days older than her and when they get together they have so much fun.

While they were here they played in the snow together and were inseperable. While we were in Houston we took pictures of the girls together. Last year they had matching pajamas provided by aunt Amanda this year they had matching pajamas their mothers bought last year.

Last year when we were in Texas I bought Juliane a dress from Ross when I got home and showed my sister in law she laughed and brought out a similar one that she bought at Dillards (I think not sure). We took pictures of the girls in their dresses since we had pictures of them taken together last year also. I think we are going to make it a tradition.

Carter is growing like a weed and Juliane is her normal spunky self. Charles won an ipod nano in a raffle and Juliane has kept it for her own.
