It's about time

So let's discuss time...who has time to keep this up? Honestly I totally admire Shanae and Chantel. I hope to make more time for everything I want to do..tee hee!

With that said, it is ABOUT TIME I posted a new blog, don't ya think? Just for reference since it's been so long, I thought it would be good to post how old and pretty the girls are getting. Maybe I'll even blog again before another grand baby is born! (NO THAT'S NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT!)

Blasted SNOW!!

I wake up this morning excited for an early morning run with my niece and this is what I get?! Not that I really mind the snow, but it's freakin annoying when it's blowing in your face at 5 a.m.! I should've slept in! ARGHHHHHH

And to think Saturday I ran outside in shorts and a tank top!

Two Weddings, a Funeral and a Baby?!

09 started out as a crazy busy year! We started out the year with a trip to Wyo. For my stepdad's funeral.

Thanks cousins Dave and Donna for letting us all stay at your place. It was great to visit with you, we miss your family!

My sister Debbie and her family came for a visit and ended up staying a few days longer than expected for the funeral. I love seeing the Jones family, they just make me smile all the time! Love ya sis!

Calee is hanging out with her Grandma Schuster and Great Grandma Robertson. She loves her grandmas.

Ashley, Maddie, Me, Mom Schuster and Grandma Robertson
My two handsome nephews that have been best buds since they were toddlers, actually convinced two really sweet girls to marry them, and within 2 weeks of each other!

Wedding #1 Joshua and Bryn were married Jan 30th. Calee loves to go to the weddings to dance. This little purple dress is one of her favorites, but it won't stay on her shoulders very well. I managed to get one photo of her with it actually above her waist!

Beautiful bride Bryn with her momma.

Handsome groom Josh with my bro, John the proud poppa!

Then off to wedding #2 - Mike and Nina were married February 13th and once again Calee had her dancing skills put to use. This time dragging her cousins Derek and Robert in with her. Her dress selection for this wedding was her swimsuit cover up...but hey at least it stayed on!

So here is the real shocker!!! Clint and I had this suspicion that Roxanne was expecting back in November, but were waiting for her to tell us the news. Well apparently she didn't realize that she was expecting until she got sick in January and went to the hospital were they did this ultrasound. She is due in April! So I guess that officially will make me a GRANDMA....holy crap, was I not ready for that yet! We love Roxanne and she will make an amazing mommy. This picture of her at Christmas with Calee is one of my favorite, they both look so happy and content.

Ashley's First Date!

Ashley turned 16 in December, and was asked on her first date to Sweethearts on February 21st. I met Robbie for the first time a couple years ago, and thought he was a sweet kid. I am so glad Ashley has chosen such good friends and Robbie was nice enough to ask her on her first date!

Ahhh, Robbie and Ashley heading out the door for the big dance. It was a blacklight affair, and they were a tad overdressed if you can believe that?! Pictures from the dance have kids in pretty wild clothes with glow in the dark paint everywhere. They had a fab time, regardless!

Where has the time gone?!

I was sitting at the computer feeling a little overwhelmed, wondering once again where time went? The house is in shambles, the laundry needs done, the kitchen counter will never be clean, the oil needs changed in the cars, the bills need paid, dinner needs cooked, kids need homework caught up, Ashley's dress needs sewn, I need to finish the afghan I started, pictures need downloaded, I need to exercise....and the list goes on. Then I realized, hey I've been sick for a few days, Ashley is getting over Bronchitis, Calee is coughing like a clogged furnace pipe, Clint is feeling like crap and poor Maddie has to live with all of us sickies. No wonder nothing is getting done. WHAT?! On second thought, I drove 8 hours to Wyo for my step dad's funeral, rushed 8 hrs back for my nephews fiance's bridal shower, and then back home for Corrianne's BYU bball game. Then booked a honeymoon night for my nephew, went to his wedding shin-dig, spent time with out of town relatives, went skiing with Maddie and the Woods, made way too many sugar cookies with Calee, planned a fabulous lesson for my youth on Sunday, washed bedding, got up consistantly at 4:30a.m. to run with my niece or spin and swim, groceries, book club, TV spot on Good Things Utah, barbie play time, library visits, lunch with Novell friends, etc. No wonder my house is a mess?! But guess what I am happy and my family is happy and I never hear "wow mom our house is a mess!" I am pretty sure I heard Maddie say just last night, "It's official, I love my family!" That's how I spend my time. :-)
