BIRTHDAY BOY IN THE HOUSE!!!

 On this day some 45 yrs ago 👀.. Matthew Lee entered our world with a headful of blondish hair and wide open blue eyes ..ready to see what he could get into!!!!  Curious then and still curious to this day!

After living with and loving a sweet red headed wife and two loving and crazy daughters....he has brought another curious soul into his life.....Ms. Heidi Ann....his friend and work companion and soon to be hunting partner!!  She is adorable and loves the world just like her dad!

She loves the oilfield and she loves potato farming so we have no doubt she'll really love the hunting world!!

WE'VE GOT ANOTHER TEENAGER IN THE HOUSE...CASE!!!

Today, my 3rd grandchild and 2nd grandSON, is entering that new phase of life...where you're not sure whether you're coming or going! Where you really want to be grown but when no one is looking, you'd really like to still be cuddled up with mom and dad!  Like is that girl really pretty or is she just really good at sports!!  The in-between years where confusion is rampant; yet maturity is well seen and respected!

CASE IS 13 TODAY!  And we are SO proud of the young man he is becoming.

                                                                              

                                  6th grade STUDENT OF THE YEAR in Literature, Bible and PE!!

He IS a big brother and those shenanigans still show....

But boy, oh boy....does he ever love that lil brother!!

Hunting??  Oh yeah!

Hunting with his Dad?  Yeah...big time!

With his dad and his Cap'n?  Yeah again!!

With his dad AND his Cap'n AND most of his cousins??  Triple yeah!!

Throw in a little deep sea fishing.....and well, you see where I'm going with this!!

Not to mention that he played baseball, basketball, lacrosse and golf this school yr too!!

But the thing he loves the very most, no matter what his age, is his family!!!

 Happy Wedding Day …June 25th 1977!!!! to my sweet husband and cap’n to his grandchildren!!! Not to mention also the father of the 3 most precious sons in all the land!!!

Who’d have ever thunk we’d have made it this far?!! We did!!!!!

We still love the beach!

We still love our picnics in the boat at the lake!

We love love love these gorgeous grandchildren!

And our daughter....Ms PoppyPearl!!!

MY FIRST DAUGHTER-IN-LAWS BIRTHDAY TODAY!!

 

This union began a looooooooong time ago!  Maybe sophomores in high school??!!!!

And they've been each other's friends, spouses and parents together since then!

Nothing makes this mama's heart prouder than to know that the love of my son's life is also my best friend too!!!  And boy, oh boy...does she ever love him!! 💕

I can't think of a better way to celebrate her birthday than by showing what is the most important thing to her in her life......FAMILY!!

She has grown from the sweetest lil girl into a mature, good natured young woman with a heart of gold!

We are SO proud to be her grandparents!

From beach time with me....

...to hunting time with Cap'n and uncles, sister, cousin and of course....Dad!

Her passions are many!

She has just completed Cheer Competitions all over our area and beyond, even  finishing in 14th place out of 86 teams from all over the world at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL!

She and her mom made the trip together for a week and it will be a lifelong memory for both of them!

She has really come to love her volleyball!

She will never lose her love of cousins and being able to spend time together!

But her love of hunting and bonding with her Dad may be her greatest passion yet!

And learning the art of cooking from him too!

And being kinda mom to their brand new Heidi Ann!!

But as always...FAMILY means everything to her!!
