Hand surgery

#surgery #justbreathe #lovethishand  Little man is having his hand surgery today.  I have experienced close to 20 surgeries with my kids and it is never easy. It all comes down to faith for me. Is He my God and sovereign in all aspects of my life or not?  Do I trust Him no matter?  I do. Praying he doesn't have a reaction, like last time.

These boys

I love these guys. Having a grandson and  son the same size (Ty weighs 6 lbs more) and close to the same age (Ty is 2.5 years younger).

Lottie's glasses

Lottie has been having a lot of headaches.  I think this has to do with her very unique noggin. We went to the pediatrician who wanted to try antibiotics to see maybe if she had a sinus infection. It did help.  We then went to Casey eye clinic and had her eyes checked again. Her astigmatisms (both eyes) are worse but still not bad.  We are going to try glasses to see if it helps. We are also finishing up get neuro physch evaluation and will have the results soon. One thing we learned with her agenisis of the corpus callosum is that she has cortical visual impairment.  This makes a lot of sense to us. I'll explain more when we get the final results.

Phoebes haircut

Phoebe loves having long hair. I tell people her hair is thick and everyone says yah yah.  Then they feel her hair and say "oh my gosh! Her hair is thick". I just laugh.  I told my hairdresser I was going to bring her in and maybe we could long layer it.  I told her it was thick.  She said yah yah. Brought her in. She couldn't believe how thick it is. I think it looks very nice having the long layers and hopefully won't hurt her neck if she puts it in a pony tail.

My surgery

I broke my foot a year ago. I really thought it would just heal, but I didn't. In March I had surgery and had my sesamoid bone removed.  I'm not sure why I waited so long but am happy it is fixed.  I do have two numb toes which feels like they are in a constant state of falling asleep. Sometimes annoying but better than pain.

Fencing

Emmet has been taking a fencing class while I'm working.  I told him that someday he will a girls night in shining armor.  He laughed then explained to me in detail how fencing is different than a knight with armor. Which is so very like Emmet, Detail oriented.

Dadas pigeon chest

It seems we like extremes in our family. :/. Maxs (aka dada) has an extreme case which we are having to brace.  20 hours a day for at least 6 months most likely a year. Again when he is older and still doesn't guarantee he will not need surgery.

This is what it looks like when it comes off.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" Author unknown

143,000,000 ORPHANS:

It is estimated that between 143,000,000 and 210,000,000 children are orphans. That’s at least 143 MILLION children in the world today. (Recent UNICEF report.)

To give you an idea of the enormity of this need, keep in mind that the approximate population of the US is 300,000,000; and the population of Russia is 141,800,000.)

There are more orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa than ALL of the children
in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Canada, and Sweden – combined!
