The Polka Skirt

This skirt is so fun! It is very twirly. Just what little girls love!

I added a cute flower detail at the bottom. I've never worked with it before, but it wasn't too bad. I'm not sure exactly what it's called, it's like ribbon, but with fabric flowers. It was a little expensive, but I think it looks cute on this skirt.
I'm saving this skirt for Grey to wear next year. I don't want to over do it with dresses and skirts and have her out grow them, so I'm starting to make bigger sizes of things so she can have them later. Hope you like it!!

Old window project

I found an old window at an antique store and decided to make it into a fun picture frame. I love the look of old windows! I didn't paint it (I might paint it still) I just decorated each window pane and added pictures where I wanted. The ones that are blank are for bigger pictures that aren't printed yet. I love the way it turned out! I'm just leaning it against the wall on top of Grey's bookshelf for now and I like the way it looks there. I figure I'll keep it in there until I want to do something different with it and then all I have to do is clean it up again and decorate it all over.

I hope you enjoy my idea! Give it a try!

The saying in the middle pane says "ribbons & curls.....sassy little girly girls."
I thought that worked great for Grey!!

~Crayon Roll~

I have seen these on other blogs and I thought I would give it a try. I didn't have to go out and buy anything because I had enough fat quarters in my fabric container that I could use. It was really simple and it didn't take long at all. My next attempt at one will be a little bit bigger to hold other things. Ashlyn loves it and was so excited when I told her it was for her. It will be nice for in the car and at church.

Hair Clip

So this is nothing real exciting, but for me, this was the first time I've attempted to make a hair clip of any kind. It wasn't hard at all and I love the way they turned out. We just found a long strand of colorful flowers at Porters and then got clips and used the ribbon we had and it was the cheapest way to make hair clips. I am so excited for the girls to wear them. Katie, Janeal, and I had fun making them on our craft day today.

Easter Egg Wreath

This past week we made these really cute wreaths for Easter. We bought the wreaths at Wal-mart, (but I found out the dollar store has them too) and we just used plastic eggs. We spray painted them white and then painted them antique white and blue and speckled them with brown. They turned out cute and were very easy to do. We finished them in one afternoon. Yay for us!
Close up of the eggs. They actually look real.
