knitting projects

I made this little vest for some good friends of ours that just had a baby boy. His name is Andrew. The vest is made out of Koigu. It is a beautiful hand dyed yarn. My lens was blurry when I took these pictures. The pattern is called Pembroke. Here is the link. Pembroke
I made this great sweater for myself. I got the pattern from Ravelry. It is a seamless pattern which is great. You start from the bottom and do it in the round. I loved it. The yarn is from a great store in Eagle, Idaho. The yarn is Rowan Cocoon. It is very soft and great to knit with. If you look closley at the sweater, the pattern makes little owls. You can add buttons to the eyes if you like. I haven't decied yet. Here is the link for the Owl sweater pattern. Owls

More Bear Lake

Josh, Brandon, and Ellie. We had such a great time in Bear Lake this year. We love hangin with the Phillips cousins. We don't get to see them very often, but when we do we start right back up where we left off and don't skip a beat.

My very handsome 16 year old Dyllan....

The brothers. Tim and Dave, with Grandpa Roger in the background.

Posted by PicasaJosh, Lily and Rosie. Rosie is two years older than Josh, but they are the best of friends. Definitely kindred spirits. Definitely two peas in a pod.

Bear Lake All Star Tournament

Who is the stud in the sunglasses. It is none other than our own Josh Phillips. Big 2. He played shortstop, 3rd and pitch.....We had a great time watching him play.

The Teton fans.

More Pics

Ellie and Brandon

Brandon's 7th birthday. Brandon didn't want to go to Soda Springs with us for Josh's baseball tournament because it was his birthday, and mostley because he didn't want to miss out on the swather fun. A swather is a machine that cuts the hay. Brandon literally spent about 10 hours on the swather with my dad. The next day about the same. These are some pictures of his birthday. He could hardly wait for us to get home. Grandma Marcia made him a cake. He helped her.

Posted by PicasaHe was so excited about this grain combine. He had been eyeing it in Ace hardware for weeks. He is definitely a farm boy.

Lots of Pics

Father's Day

Tim coached Josh's baseball team this year. Our team came in 3rd place in the end of the year tournament. It was a great season.

Josh and Mason. Very good buddies. Mason is alot older now, but I love this picture of them together.

Tim made the kids a dirtbike track in my dad's horse pasture. The horses didn't seem to mind at all. The kids really had a good time on it.

Josh

All star baseball in Soda Springs Idaho. Our team came in 2nd out of 12 teams. We had a great all star year. In this group we have lots of good families to travel with. There is about half and half 11 and 12 year olds. If you look closely, Josh is holding a broken bat. During the game he broke the bat when batting. It was crazy. None of us had ever seen that happen before.
Josh pitching.
The end of June our ward went to Martin's Cove and the Willie Center in Wyoming. We had gone once before but not with little kids and lots of families. It was such a great experience. It is amazing to actually walk in the footsteps of brave men, women, and children. Tim, Josh, Dyllan, and Brandon all went on the 10 mile trek with a cart. It was raining and cold. I had to stay in camp because my ankle was sprained and I had to wear a walking boot. I was really disappointed to not be able to go. My great, great, grandfather was Ephraim Hanks. He actually played a part in the rescue of the Willie company. It was a very awesome experience for all of us.
