Random Updates.
L: I found my baseball! Do you have the wand I hit it with?
L: I want some light up shoes that slip on, not velcro.
Me: I'll have to look for those at the store.
L: I could wish on a star, that might be easier.
Right now, we love all things Frozen. Lily knows every word on the CD and asks every day if we can go see the movie again. Rory loves baby dolls and all associated accessories. She also loves getting her hair done and opening things she shouldn't. She has a stool she carries around the house, especially the kitchen. She uses the stool to get whatever she wants, from doughnuts in the box to bananas and most scary- a bottle of baby ibuprofen that didn't have the lid on tight enough. She was fine, but it was a little worrisome.

Lost Minds
Grandma yells in other room
Mom: Go see if Grandma is ok.
(Lily leaves)
Lily: Grandma are you ok?
Grandma: No, I lost my mind!
Lily: (looks around) Well, I don't see it.
(Lily returns to living room)
Mom: Is Grandma ok?
Lily: No, she lost her mind.
Mom: Did you find it?
Lily: (holds pinched fingers up to eye) No, its too small.

Lily's wedding
This morning Lily found a necklace I made for her, the following conversation
L: This is the necklace you made for me when I was little.
M: I made it for you for Christmas.
L: But I was little.
M: Ok.
L: When I'm big I'm going to wear it for my wedding.
M: Ok.
L: But if I'm getting married I need a boy.
M: I guess you do.
L: Robert's a boy. I could marry Robert.
M: I guess you could.
L: Will you make me a dress when I get married?
M: I'll make you a beautiful dress.
L: I want it to be pink. Pink is my favorite color.
M: Ok.
L: And I need flowers too.
M: Ok. What kind of flowers?
L: Tulips, I love tulips.
L: The last thing I need is a bow. I need a bow in my hair so I can get married.
She's such a funny girl!

The Nativity
We took Lily to a live Nativity/Night in Bethlehem (can't remember what they called it) on Sunday in Utah. She was a little nervous about the people dressed up- I should have remembered that, since she isn't fond of most characters at Disneyland. But she listened very raptly when we went in the room with the manger scene. She listened to Mary sing "Mary's Lullaby" to Baby Jesus and as Mary sat back down with Joseph, I started trying to explain/retell the story at a 3 year old level. After I did, she said "But where did they put the baby?" And I explained that the baby slept in the wooden cradle because there were no beds left in the inn. She looks at it all again and says, "But they have a carpet!" (The stage was carpeted.) Too smart for her own good!

The Little Monster
Aurora took three steps on her own today. I'm scared. And not ready. And she still only sleeps 1.5-2 hrs at a time. After 8 months, we're a little sleep deprived.
She was an adorable ladybug though!
Thanks to Kamio Photography for the photo! (and yes, you all will see more of the photos eventually)
