Overall, his entrance to the world was fairly short. I was in labor for just shy of 12 hours but it only took three pushes and he was here! He is the most content and mellow baby, which I had prayed so hard to have. He was born with a cleft lip and a split upper gum, but it is nothing that can't be fixed. I love this little boy more than anything and I'm so glad that he is finally here!

The secret is out!
It isn't any secret anymore that we are expecting! I am due the end of October and at our 20-week ultrasound we found out we are having a little baby boy. All three of us are really excited for another little boy in the family. When we went in for the ultrasound, Dillon was talking about how he'd love another boy so he has another buddy to take fishing and hunting and most importantly, so I'm even more outnumbered.I absolutely love having a boy and I wanted Easton to have a buddy. I don't mind the trucks, trains and tractors and love how excited Easton gets about going outside and doing something with daddy. Even Easton is excited for baby brother. He will come and sit on my lap and say "Can I snuggle baby boy?" I hope he still feels that way when the baby is actually here.
We are excited to bring another little miracle into our family and are counting down the days until he is here.

Seattle!
For Memorial Weekend we headed to Seattle. Neither Dillon nor I had ever been to Seattle before and we had an absolute blast visiting the city. We spent Saturday afternoon at the aquarium and the pier. Sunday, we went on a boat cruise around the harbor, walked around Pike's Place and went to Discovery Park. Monday we went to the Space Needle and then the zoo. The zoo was the highlight of the trip. Easton absolutely loved it and even had the opportunity to feed the giraffes. He was so excited that the rest of the time in the zoo, no matter what animal we saw, all he wanted to see was the giraffes, or the "necks" as he called them. I absolutely loved the harbor cruise and Discovery Park. I loved Seattle and I can't wait to go back again.

I have a two year old
Easton turned two years old on Friday. I cannot believe I have a two year old. Easton is still my crazy little boy, who makes me laugh every single day. At two years old, Easton is ...
- Eating and sleeping like a champ. He loves Carnation instant breakfast mixes, ham, cheese, fruit snacks, cookies and candy.
- He loves Curious George, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Toy Story and Mickey Mouse.
- He now loves nursery and playdates with his friends.
- He loves balls, bubbles and balloons.
- He loves his dad and playing outside with this dad.
- He loves swinging and doing anything outside.
- Every time he hears the bath tub, he runs and begs for a bath. Even if he sees a bath or water on a show, he asks for a bath.
- He loves building forts and we build a fort with blankets and pillows almost every single day.
- He loves trains and any type of train game.

Christmas in Utah
One of the fabulous things about law school is there is a long Christmas break to enjoy. Dillon had over three weeks of vacation time so we spent two weeks in Utah with family.
It was wonderful to see all of our family while we went home, especially for the holidays. We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas early with Dillon's family. We enjoyed all the family traditions - Bingo, dinner, presents. We spent the actual Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family by going to dinner, watching movies, and eating lots and lots of candy. We spent New Years in Utah county and it was fun to see family and visit.
This year I thought Easton would be a lot more excited about presents than he actually was. He would get hung up over one present and wouldn't open the other ones until I would start opening the present and he would see it was a toy inside.
Easton also experienced his first snowmobile ride, which he hated. Although, we took him sledding, which he absolutely loved. Now he always wants to put on his boots and snow pants and go outside. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no snow where we live. I've never experienced such a mild winter. We had a fabulous break and I almost cried when Dillon had to go back to school. Here are a few fun photos from our Christmas adventures.

Halloween
Halloween is so much more fun when you have children! This year Easton was finally old enough to appreciate Halloween and we made the most out of it. We decorated our house, decorated pumpkins, had a fun ward Halloween FHE and went trick or treating.
Thursday night, the night before Halloween, we went trick or treating around the law school. Students, teachers and other faculty members had candy and the kids were able to go around and trick or treat. This was Easton's first experience trick or treating. At first, he had no idea what to do. He was pretty nervous until he realized that every single person was giving him candy. By the end of the night, he was running to people and sticking his hands in their baskets and pulling out handfuls of candy. He picked up pretty quickly. He also loved it because he received lots of suckers, which are his favorite. He had a sucker in each hand and I was carrying the rest of the candy on the way home. He couldn't have been happier.
Friday night, Halloween night, the married student wards in Moscow had a dinner and then a trunk or treat activity. We decided to do that instead of normal trick or treat because 1- I don't know the good/safe areas in town yet for trick or treating and 2 - Easton already had tons of candy from the night before. He did really well throughout the dinner but he only wanted to go to a few vehicles and then he was done. He threw a fit and we headed back to our vehicle and helped pass out candy.
I'm excited for next year when he'll enjoy it even more and he'll have a little more determination to stay out longer.

Here is Easton in his mime costume. Isn't he cute? He was a cute mime but he sure was a loud one.

18-month pics
A few weeks ago I took Easton to the botanical gardens here in Moscow and took some of his 18-month-pictures. I thought some of them turned out so well. He is such a sweet boy and is growing up way too fast. I can't believe how quickly he is growing. It makes me sad in a way that he isn't a baby anymore and never will be. But he sure is turning into a handsome young boy.
