Fun random times at the Dyars

St. George Trip

We took a fun trip to St. George last week. We stopped in Green River for two days, Devin did a canyoneering trip in San Rafael Swells while the kids and I stayed in a hotel where we swam, ate and slept. We then drove to St. George. The first night we stayed at my dad's cabin where it is MUCH cooler just 20 minutes out if St. George! Kaya and Kasen rode on the four wheelers with Dad and Grandpa, Kaya loved it but Kasen wasn't too sure about it. Dev worked up at a facility in Zion during the week, while we hung out at Grandpa's house and swam a lot! I was able to visit my high school friend Jodi and her three kids. Tina and Nana Marsh drove down from Salt Lake with Kamree, Kade, Ashton and Averee, the kids had a blast together and I enjoyed my time with Tina and Marsha. That weekend Devin's buddies from college came down and they did a 12 hours canyoneering trip in Zion, it had 20+ repels and lots of cold water. We walked up the narrows to meet them at then end. Kaya and Kasen thought it was pretty cool to see dad all geared up, they were super excited to see him come down the river. We also took the kids up to the Emerald Pools in Zion, it is a 2.6 mile hike and they both pretty much hiked it themselves, I was quite impressed with their little legs! All in All we had a great time, I love spending time with my dad, and the kids just LOVE their Grandpa!! We drove for 12 hours only stopping once for dinner on the way home. The kids did so great, I was so proud of them. They are troopers!!
