What do you do all day when you are stuck inside?

You Craft! We made everyone homemade Valentine Day Cards! We baked Cookies. And made marshmallow snacks. I think the kids got spoiled thinking we were going to be doing this everyday. I have enjoyed being home with the kids and doing fun projects but it's now time to get out of the house!

Snow Day!

I want to know how we can go from weather that is pure gorgeous. Mike was outside with the kids washing his motorcycle.

To being homebound with school canceled and 12 inches of snow on the ground. Are you kidding me? I guess that is pure Texas weather for ya! We did have some fun though playing in the snow. We built a snowman, made snow angels, and had a classic snowball fight. The kids loved every minute of it. After we convinced Ava it was OK to go outside in the snow.

The start of Ava's New Room

Let's start this post off by saying I have the greatest husband in the world! I ask him to do these huge projects he says yes and never curses me while doing it (out loud). In Ava's new room I wanted to put up wainscoting on the bottom then paint stripes on the top. So off we went to home depot bought all of the supplies and got to work. Actually Toby and Mike got to work on the wainscoting. Next came the painting. Home Depot messed up the paint colors we made at least 3 trips back to get it corrected and the painting started. We have 12 foot ceilings in her bedroom so taping that off was say a pain in the you know what. Then we painted who knows how many stripes. The result is awesome it turned out better then we could of imagined. We are not finished decorating. We still need to get some furniture and wall decor. I have ordered her chandelier and need to hand it. It is a work in progress but one we are excited to see finished.

Changing Rooms Hayden's

With the new baby coming we needed to do some room changes. Actually we needed to reorganize the entire house! First we decided to move Hayden to our old guestroom. Since we are having another little girl we thought it would be better for the girls to be on one side of the house with a bathroom they can share. And let Hayden have the other side of the upstairs with his own bathroom. My was he thrilled about that. Getting his own bathroom. Which is a positive sign since he keeps saying you never know God could still make this baby a boy (lets hope after all this painting and moving it doesn't became a boy, ugh)! He is really getting into sports so we wanted a room that could grow with him through the years. We decided to paint a navy stripe that would match his bedding and furniture already. Then my handy dandy helper and trusted advisor (Betsy) found some great vintage sport pieces. We were set and it has turned out great. We still need some more pieces and are looking for a desk. But Hayden loves his new room especially his no girls allowed sign. And lets just say he is taking that sign to heart! Poor Ava.

Hayden

100th day Project

Hayden has now been in Kindergarten for 100 days! Where oh where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday we didn't even have kids and now we are 3 months away from having 3. Wow things change fast.

For his 100 day project they were to build something! I thinking of course we run out of time wanted to get 100 stickers and put it on the poster board or maybe 100 pretzels and glue. But Mike had grander ideas. He wanted to build a log cabin out of pretzels and graham crackers. So off they went to get supplies and start building. They did a great job and Hayden actually built most of the cabin. Good job boys.

More Birthday Pics!

Our tradition is on the morning of their birthday they get to have daddy make pancakes and we sing Happy Birthday! So here we are singing to the Birthday girl! And yes we can still make it to school on time!

Ava is 3!

Happy Happy Birthday to my baby girl who is not a baby anymore as she says! She was so excited to turn 3 because that is when you get big! Ava has a personality the size of Texas!!! She is incredibly funny, smart and mischief. She loves to sing and dance. And as her daddy and bubba call her she is Motor Mouth. Hayden asks everyday if we can turn her motor off. She is our precious little angel and has made our family so much more lively. Could not imagine a day without our Cutie Pootie!

Hayden's Good Deed!

Here is a picture of Hayden at the Flower Mound Animal Shelter! For his 6th birthday he had all of his friends and family bring supplies to donate. He was so proud of himself and how big his heart is. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful boy!
