Yesterday Jason and I went on a little adventure! We drove out past Eagle Mountain onto the trails that are there for fourwheeling and other such stuff. Now, Jason has given me one lesson in driving his jeep (yes I know I'm pathetic because I don't know how to drive a stick-shift) and it was in a big parking lot. I did pretty well but was still a little shaky. So, he pulls onto this trail yesterday and stops the car and says "Ok, it's your turn!" I just looked at him and gave him this "your kidding me" stare. He told me that if I can drive on those trails then driving in town and on the freeway would be a piece of cake! So we practiced starting and stopping on steep hills, going around trees, over bumpy rocks, and I did pretty dang good if I do say so myself. I got us up on this huge hill and then I said "ok, you can get us down now!" I'm a bit afraid of heights needless to say! Once we were off the trails (after about and hour or so) he turned the driving back to me and let me drive back down to Lehi.
Oh no my friends, the adventure does not stop there! When we were driving back, we saw a HUGE mist of smoke and we knew there was a fire nearby. As we got closer, we couldn't believe how big the fire was! I'm not sure what that area is called but I'm sure some of you heard about it on the news. The flames were so close to the road that as we drove by, we could feel the heat through our car windows. Of course there were a lot of police there and I WAS DRIVING!! I started freaking out because we had to keep stopping and going and I wasn't the best at that quite yet. I only killed the jeep once in front of a police officer but that was pretty embarrassing! All in all, it was a fun day and I think I'm almost ready to be able to drive around town a little more. If Jason ever lets me in the drivers seat again that is!

New School Year!
She has had to make new friends since all but two of her really good friends from last year are in the other class. I love when she comes home and says "Mom, I made a new friend today!" All of you who have met her knows that she makes friends where ever she goes! So now we are back in our school year routine and all seems to be running smoothly! She will have her first holiday next Monday (Labor Day) and unfortunately we don't get to spend it with her...so we will have a long weekend with her gone which is always tough.
Our little Oak is so wonderful to have around and I'm so glad that she enjoys school! I got really lucky to be able to have her in my life!
P.S. These pictures are of Oakleigh on her first day of school....She is so cute!!

6 Quirky Traits!!
Carrie tagged me with this one...it's a little crazy but I will do my best to not disappoint...
1. I have to have my covers perfectly straight when I climb into bed. I have made Jason get out of bed just so I can remake the bed and make everything straight. It drives him nuts!
2. I have a place for EVERY dish in my kitchen. If anyone, including Jason, does the dishes I usually have to take everything out that they put away and put it back in the correct spot.
3. I have an issue with poor spelling or grammar. When I was in high school, I was known to correct the spelling of my girl friends notes because it drove me crazy! Needless to say, they stopped writing me notes.
4. Like Carrie and Robyn, I have a routine in the shower that never varies...Get in, wet down hair, shave under my arms, wash my body, wash my hair, put in conditioner, shave legs (if needed), rinse conditioner out of hair...you get the idea
5.I have a routine of how I unpack all my stuff when I get to work. We don't have set stations to key in our data so I have a back pack that I carry all my stuff in. I take everything out in a certain order and place it in a certain place. If it's not in it's place, it will drive me nuts while I'm typing and I can't concentrate.
6. I'm obssessed with giving myself pedicures and manicures. My fingers and feet have been known to bleed because I am always clipping at them...but usually they look really good because I'm always keeping up with them!
Ok so as you can see, I have major OCD. I knew it was bad but looking back and reading this, I think I may need help!
I tag...Angie, Marianne, and Kayci!!! Have fun!!!

Awwww the Memories...
A new kind of tag...it is totally voluntary and you have more creative license - and it's about ME as well as YOU! Here are the rules:1. Ad a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. Not too embarrassing please!!!
