My craftyNESS project!
It's been forever since I wrote and yes I say that everytime I write. But that's b/c everytime I write it has been forever. =)
I usually don't know what to write on here, and so I was super excited to actually have something worthy of blogging.
I took our old dressers and destressed them and can I say I just love them!!!
I can't wait to finish the other two dressers I have. Then I'm going to paint our bedroom. So high hopes for this blog. I usually just post pictures on my facebook b/c I can send pictures straight from my phone and so that's probably why I'm not blogging as much. So if you have a facebook and you enjoy reading my blogs, join me there. But have no fear, I will keep this updated.
Well I'm off to go get some tarnex for my handles and then It'll all be finished.
I will post a picture of the actual dresser next to the finished new dresser. But for now here are some pictures to give you an idea of what I've been up to. Have a great weekend!!!

Let the good times role
Hi Everyone,
So the other day my friend who is a wonderful photographer took some pictures of me. I'm going to send in my headshots so I asked her to take some of me. They turned out great. Here are some that are finished. If you like her work let me know and I can give you her info. The first picture I cropped out b/c I thought it looked cute.

Well here is a quick update. Hubs is loving school, even though he has a tough schedule. He has class and work and is staying busy. He is still gone and its 9:14 at night, so you can see he's busy. I'm still working where I have always been and am looking forward to moving on with my dreams. Hopefully I can get a breakthrough and use my resources wisely that it will come true. =) Let's just hope. But if not at least I can say I've given it a shot instead of always wishing. I do hope to go back to school in graphic design and film. I love that stuff. Oh our dogs are wonderful and loving their new home. I'm not sure if I've bloged about our new house or not. But we moved into our home 4 days before our 1 year anniversary (which was our gift to ourself) and a day later Hubs left for 3 weeks for Military training while I sprained my ankle on our Anniversary. Haha so as you can tell I've already broken the new house charm. I sprained my ankle on my front step, stepping off onto the grass hitting a hole. Luckily my sister was there to take care of me for awhile, she came to take me to a movie to celebrate my Anniversary and instead took me to Urgent care to get an xray. It wasn't broken, but it might as well been. A month later to this day its still tender and swollen. Anyways, that's all for now.
Take care!

A Message from My Mom
August 14th, Friday
Today was the best day on the island so far! We had a great lesson with the Edward girls, and their mom participated as well. After the lesson, we stopped by a sisters. At first she didn’t want to visit, but she finally opened up and we had a pleasant visit. She wanted to know why the “Shepard’s “ keep leaving. Shepard’s meaning the older missionaries. She didn’t know the Iverson’s so we know it has been at least 2 years since she has had any contact with the church. She said there was no one to feed her spiritually, when they leave. After our visit she thanked us for coming to find the lost sheep. Elder Daniels is going to make her a CD of the Bible so she can listen to it while she rests. She is a nurse and works nights at the hospital. She works 3 twelve-hour shifts so she does have some time off. She has a very nice home, but we really didn’t get to know too much else about her. She said we could come back to give her the CD’s. She also asks us to leave her with a word of prayer. After that visit we stopped to see a gentleman, from the states that is a member. He wasn’t home but his wife and 10-year-old daughter were, she is from Arkansas. They are non-members, she was very nice, friendly and I can’t remember when I laughed so much. We told her we would come back and see them, “No problem”. I think her and I could become friends!
When we got home Elder Daniels barbecued hamburgers. I'm trying to remember to call him that, sometimes when we're in public I forget. So from now on he is Elder Daniels. He made a drink they had at a President’s meeting and he really liked it. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I didn’t; he was so excited to share it with me. It was Caffeine Diet Coke mixed with Pineapple Juice. Love to everyone Shayla

Can I get a HOAH?!??!
I made this video for Hubs while we was gone at Boot Camp before we got married. When he came home I gave him this video. I just decided to share it with whom ever wants to watch it. Enjoy!! Let me know what you think of it, if you'd like. Opinion is always good. =) Just so everyone is on the same page. Hubs was told he would leave for Afganistan next summer, but now he's being told they might not take his company over for 3 years. So lets just hope he doesn't go over, and if he does hopefully he won't miss out on the really important things in our lives....like a baby. Whenever that happens! =) (No I'm not pregnant, and I can't tell the future and what it has in store for us.) But if he does go, I will support him and be here waiting for him! He better come home and he's already promised me he will. So by golly he better keep his promises, especially this one. I can't imagine life without him, so that's all there is to it!
PS: If you look closely at some of the pictures you'll be able to see Hubs in them.
