PBJ hold the crust, J hold the PB, PB hold the J, 1/2 PBJ

This is my standing "non drive thru we are staying home for lunch" order. I just think its funny that something as simple as pb&j can be so unique. If I wasn't low carbing it I would have a PBSP (peanut butter and sweet pickles) and if Jason happens to be home we would add 2 more PB hold the J toasted please, to the list. Shout out to individuality!

Taste My Luck

Before Cannon was born I had a miscarriage, it was devastating. Getting pregnant afterwards was so emotional. I wanted to be excited but was scared it wouldn't work out again. Every twinge, ache, or pain sent fear through my body and then if I didn't have a twinge, ache, pain I'd be fearful too. So I did something you probably aren't supposed to do but I asked for a sign from God that it would be ok. Later that day I looked down in a clover patch and my eye fell on a lucky four leaf clover. For every pregnancy since I have found a four leaf clover within a week of getting a positive test. When we were in New York for Jason's brother's funeral, and grief and sadness was overwhelming, I found a four leaf clover.

Yesterday we were at the park so I sat down next to a patch of clover to sort through three leafers in hope of a mutation. Wow, lucky day I found four! (AHHHH! Does that mean quadruplets! Well at this point that would be a miracle.) Anyhow, Cashel claimed one, I claimed one for my friend Susan who needs a little sign right now. The other two I put in my pocket to show Jason. Night came, I remembered my clovers which had shriveled up into what looked like little green mosquito carcasses. I just felt this surge of love, or peace or something and then I did it. I popped them in my mouth and ate them???!!!??? I have no idea why, they tasted like grass, then I panicked that they might be poison but I didn't spit them out, just swallowed fast. Weird, I know, and I still couldn't tell you why I did it except this; God is in the little things. When a memory of someone I haven't talked to in years pops in my head and then I get a call from them (or more likely a facebook request). I fell like that is God whispering to me. (Now I've admitted I'm crazy, that God whispers to me and that I eat greenery). I guess I just wanted to feel that little whisper longer.
Anyhow, this morning Kai first ate a toaster strudel and then got into the scrabble game, which means little letters stuck to every spot that had come in contact with strudel filling and frosting. I picked them off him and threw the letters on my desk. Later in the day I went to put the letters away and look what I saw.....is it the clovers speaking?...lol!

Happy birthday to our sweet princess. Our little breath of fresh air after two intense personalities. Light hearted, happy go lucky, up for anything; that's our girl. If its fun, new, interesting, dog related, or pink you can guess this girl with be on board. Here is who you are at age 3:
You LOVE dogs.
Facial expressions are your specialty.
You have perfected the southern belle eylash flutter when you need to tip the scales in your favor.
You will try anything.
You hate to wear clothes. Have been known to remove them in public.
You are so sweet to your little brother even when its not reciprocated.
You have a penache for remembering names, you know most of your friends first, middle and last names.
We see lots of creative and artistic talents emerging.
Your eyes express your heart.
Your favorite foods are broccoli and chocolate.
You are awesome at saying the blessing.
You are an extrovert and have lots of friends.
You've never refused a bath.
You are an amazing sleeper but if by chance you wake up in the night, there is no going back to sleep...for anyone.

Once again a lucky mom. I'm so looking forward to a future of mom/girl stuff with my princess girl!

Yikes its been a while but needed to post this. My sweet Cash turned five on April 2nd. It happened to be sandwiched between mom flying into town and Jason and us flying out to Hawaii so I didn't have time to post. Of all my kids I worry about my Cashman the most. Maybe its because I feel like I see myself in him. I remember being shy, fearful, introverted as a kid, I hated it and it made me frustrated. When I did speak up it sounded petty and dumb; not at all what was really going on in my head. Feeling clumsy in my own body. I see his same frustration.
Here is who he is to me; maybe not to the rest of the world yet.
He is very generous and kind when he feels he is loved and appreciated
He has a precise sincerity meter.
He is so loyal to his brother.
Sarcasm is his specialty. Next is practicality.
He actually can talk quite a bit if he is wound up.
He is to the point if he needs to be.
When he is excited he does the cutest happy wiggle.
He is super observant.
He usually knows the answer even if he says "I don't know".
His attention span is amazing.
His eyes light up when his family members enter a room.
I don't think he has ever been in trouble for being too loud.
Learning is fun for him.

He is such an awesome kid. I'm not quite sure how I got 4 kids that are so different and so perfect. Lucky me!

The Cutest Show on Earth

This is Circus week for our little homeschool preschool. We thought of the idea a few weeks ago and then thought it would be cool to do when the real circus comes to town. Last week I saw a flyer for the Circus coming to town this week. Great timing! So we are going to the real circus on Thursday but we had a little preshow today. During preschool time we made our costumes, tried out our clown faces and rehearsed our program. Then tonight we popped some microwave popcorn for our audience (Jason, Cannon, and Kai). We started with a Grand Entrance Parade freestyle. Here was the rest of our program ; Kleenex juggling (you should try it...throw, throw, catch, catch), dizzy tightrope walking (spinning in circles until we were dizzy then trying to walk the length of a ribbon), acrobatics (somersaults), prancing horses, roaring lions and finally the elephants. It was definitely the cutest show on earth.

Grocery Shopping is FUN!

Cannon, Kai, and I were up at 6 am so we decided to go GROCERY SHOPPING! Well Kai objected but we finally talked him into it (Cannon LOVES this coupon stuff). We hit Albertsons, Smiths, and Target with list and coupons in hand. My sweet couponing checker greeted us at the door at Albertson's. We were the only ones in the store so she actually walked around with us and helped us shop, running to the other side of the store if we forgot or couldn't find something, so cute and everytime she sprinted off Cannon would ask how we knew her...lol. Any how here is my loot picture for the week. I haven't added everything up exactly but my estimate is almost $500 of groceries, toys and clothes for $170!!! This includes 11 lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts, 2 lbs fresh salmon, and 4 Carter's footed PJs. WOOOOWOOOOO!!!

Drug Bealers

Me: Hey Cash, What you doing?
Cash: (pretending to roll something up in his hands) I'm a Drug Bealer.
Me: Drug Dealer? Do you know what that is?
Cash: Yes
Me: Where did you learn about Drug Dealers?
Cash: On Tv
Me: Drugs are poison you put in your body, they make you sick, they make you dumb, they are bad. Drug dealers are people that make you sick, make you dumb, they are bad.
Cash: Oh not that kind of Drug Dealer.
Me: What kind of Drug Dealer are you?
Cash: The bug kind that eats poop.
Cannon: Oh, I think he is a Dung Beetle
Cash: Yep! I'm a Dung Bealer
