When Robert was studying for his comps he was gone A LOT. The kids started to wonder if he existed anymore. I'm not complaining because I know that a lot of families go through times when daddy is gone a lot due to work or school. The kids are always asking me first thing in the morning, "Is Daddy at school today?" What I think is funny is that the answer to that question will always be "yes". I'm just curious how old the kids will be before they understand that Daddy isn't at school as a student anymore, that he is the professor.
Anyway, one day they went through the house looking for him. I just let them do their thing. It is entertaining to see them open the office door with the expectation of seeing their dad typing away at the computer. I think it shows how much they love to get a "Hey guys!" from their dad. So when they couldn't find him, they did the next best thing. Pretended to be him!

Scarlett's favorite activity
Scarlett loves to color. If I need to find something for her to do coloring is always my best bet. She really gets into it. She concentrates so hard that her nose is almost touching the page. Coloring can entertain her for at least an hour every time. Love it!
Had to throw this picture in. She's a total ham. Love her!

Easter at home
I guess I did better than I thought recording Easter because I found some more pictures!
Easter morning was fun. Scarlett got her bath the night before and went to bed with wet hair. Look at that bedhead!
The kids were both more excited about the candy than the small gifts in the baskets. They get that from their dad. When I was a kid I wasn't that into sweets.
In Scarlett's nursery at church they have a ton of wind up toys. The Easter Bunny must really know her! ;)
After church was the Easter egg hunt. Nate's really got it down.
Robert did the Easter egg hiding. I think he thought he was being pretty clever when he hid an egg on our Christus. Ha ha, babe!
Almost found them all...
Now is when the real fun begins! Sugar rush!!!

Easter
I realize now that I did a very poor job documenting our Easter this year. Thankfully, a friend of ours threw a little Easter party and invited us and I remembered to bring the camera. Mind you, I totally forgot I had the camera until the last 20 minutes of the party so the photos are rushed and not the best, but there are photos!
Scarlett is contemplating the yummy Easter candy she's tasting. Maybe she's actually trying to figure out the connection between the Easter bunny and Easter eggs.
Nate enjoying his Easter egg haul.
The obligatory "stand together so I can get a picture of you two together" photo. Don't they look thrilled?
