Ellie's Prayer
The faith of a six-year old came true! She ate it all!!!!
You know I am so glad that I cook dinner each day because if I didn't, we all would be Fat from fast food, Broke because food prepared outside the home is too dang expensive and the best of all, I wouldn't be experiencing this tender moment!
Cheers to home cooked meals!

Halloween Weekend
We started our Halloween weekend by carving our pumpkins. The girls insisted on taking their clothes off so they didn't get them dirty, and of course Eva was in agreement too! Then Monday after school, we stopped by James’ office to trick-or-treat.
Here is the group together! We have a tradition every Halloween we all get together and eat chili and my sister makes these delicious breadsticks and then the kids go trick or treating together! It works great since every year they want to theme their costumes together!
Ethan was a special forces agent. That boys is growing up! Luke and Ellie were Tulio and Linda from the movie Rio.
Ames was Jules and Zane was Blu. We of course have a huge patronage to the movie Rio!
The two monkeys with their stolen goodie! We had a great time!
Mae, THANK YOU for making my girls’ costumes and for being so dang creative! I envy you!

When I Left Hawaii, I Kauai’d
That is exactly how we felt when our quick trip to Kauai ended. I have now Polynesian Paralysis! I just want to sit by the beach and read a book everyday! This trip was fantastic! Not too long, and not to short. And it left us still wanting to explore the island again! We hiked Waimea Canyon. It is known as the “Grand Canyon” of Hawaii. It was beautiful!
It is an 18 mile ride up the mountain stopping at various lookout points.
This is the last lookout on the trip, which is the Napali Coast. Gorgeous! We decided to take the 1.5 mile hike up to the lookout point and while making the hike, having to careful watch our steps because it was raining and all we had was running shoes in red clay mud! Not great combinations!
This was basically what we were hiking through the whole 3 miles! Then it would rain and get more slippery. There was even a point in the hike where we were climbing straight upward, holding onto branches because the ground was so wet and slippery! But the view was impossible to see because we were high in the clouds but as we walked back this is what was our reward:
This was our view every morning from the hotel lobby!
This is what we did for the rest of the time! No kids, no clean-up, no dishes, no feisty clients, no phone calls~ Just sun, sand and my best traveling person in the world!
Happy 11 years of sweet bliss!

Eva the Bonita
This girl continues to amaze me! She loves taking a shower with you and playing in her little tub we brought home from the hospital to bathe her when she was just a little cherub! She can open the drawers, get what she wants, push the little chairs around the kitchen, climb on top and reach what we don't want her to get all by herself! She has to be doing, eating, drinking, wearing and talking exactly what her big sisters do. She is 19 months and wearing 2T clothes, getting ready to wear underpants as she is constantly unzipping or undoing her pants and pulling them off, and running naked all over the place! When we go to the bathroom, she tugs on her pants and tells us with her little noises “hu, hu, hu” that she too wants to sit on the potty.
She is growing up way too fast, or am I losing the battle of parenting? Not sure. But she is so dang fun to have around! Especially since she calls out “daddeeeee” for everything! She has a love affair with her Dad!
oh happy day!

Beach Day!
For the month of August, James decided he would take half days on Fridays at work and spend sometime in the sun with us! It was really high tide that day! The Willifords followed suit!
Eva had a blast experiencing grainy, yucky, salty sand! She must had eaten 5 lbs that day!Every time I looked at her, she had sand in her mouth or her mouth in the sand!
Eva 18 months
Ames Four
Ellester six
James getting Ellie to go with him in the water!
The boys had a hard time catching waves since they were practically 7 feet tall and with a strong rip current.
And to top off the day, Dolphins came to play!
One of the best parts of Summer!

Ellie’s First day of First Grade Photo!
Let this mark the special day, Tuesday September 6th, as a momentous day for our family! Ellie had a great time at school! Every day she has gone to bed exhausted! She is still getting used to the full day schedule. And so is her sidekick-Amesie boo. Poor thing has asked me all this week “when Ellie is coming home”

Labor Day Bike Ride to the Beach!
We, the Rasmussens and the Williford boys (mae had surgery on her eye and could not participate), all rode our bikes on the river trail to Huntington Beach! It was so much fun! It was the perfect set-up: a 1.5 mile ride, played in the beach for an hour, refueled and rode back 1.5 miles to the car! The kids had a blast!
Everyone was one a bike: Steve lead with Sadie in the trailer and all our stuff jammed in beside her, then Ethan, Luke on his new bike, Ellie, Camilla, Clay with Zane on back, James running with Eva in the jogger right next to Ames on her bike, and then me with Ezzy! It was a pilgrimage!
