FYI - Be sure to watch the catalina machine when shopping at Meijer. I have gotten a coupon for $5 off a $50 Meijer Gift Card many times, and this week was one of them! I know I'm going to spend $50 there so I always take advantage of it and buy the gift card. Why pass up saving $5?

I must say that I probably won't be shopping Walgreens much anymore. Unless they have some great RR deals, I just don't want to deal with their new Balance Rewards program. I stopped in this week to use up an expiring RR.

Yes...we really were at Meijer 4 times this week! It wasn't planned that way and it is not normal, but we had Colin's dedication this week and I forgot a couple things and then realized we were out of dog food. This totally destroyed the budget, but hopefully we'll be back on track for a while.

This was one of those weeks where there were some really great deals and I had to try really hard to stay under budget! It's definitely hard to balance buying when there is a good deal and your stock pile is low versus just buying because it's a good deal (even when you don't need it).

I picked up a couple things that were on sale but I didn't have a coupon for that I normally wouldn't buy (chips and pop - not pictured) so not too bad!

I was hoping for a little better deal at Walgreens, but the first store I went to didn't have my hubby's razor blades in stock. I wanted to roll the $10 RR into my 2nd transaction, but instead, I have it for later use. Hopefully there are some good deals at Walgreens next week so I can use it!

We were in need of paper towels and this was a great deal at only $0.50 per roll so I had to stock up. The macaroni and cheese boxes were less than $0.10 each with my B1G1 FREE coupons, the shampoos were free and will be donated, and the salt was on clearance for $0.37 and used as my filler item.

The Meijer trip doesn't look too good, but I was pretty happy with it since I had a to buy a few things that weren't on sale and I didn't have a coupon. Mostly for a recipe I'm making for a dinner I'm putting together for another family on Monday night. I was also excited to try out their new coupon policy -- they are now accepting competitor coupons! I used 2 Target coupons and they worked with no problems. :-)

I was glad to stay under budget this week since I spent quite a bit last week. :-)

Jewel: OOP $14.20, Saved $58.96!

I don't typically shop at Jewel, but they have had some great deals that I couldn't pass up this week! For a short time, they doubled 5 coupons up to $1. (They don't usually double at all.) PLUS, through next week they are giving University students and employees a 15% discount!

For $14, I was able to get 10 boxes of cereal, Nestle drumsticks, 4 2-liters of Dr. Pepper, and 4 packs of Klondike bars! PLUS, I still have a $4 catalina to use.

Target: OOP $11.39, Saved $21.61!

Meijer: OOP $0.26, Saved $37.86! 

I had $20 in Meijer coupons from a Pantene money-maker a couple weeks ago.

Again, not a good sale week at Meijer, but I had to pick up a couple things for a dessert I found on Pinterest that I was making for our small group on Tuesday night....and I had to get dog food.

I found out about a money maker deal on travel size Pantene at the last minute on Saturday so I had to make a quick run - spent $8.16 and got $20 to use on my next purchase! I'd say and $11.84 money maker was worth the quick trip. :-)

I went with high hopes to be pick up the FREE Food Saver and shaving cream and cheap Magnum Bites ice cream, but the shelves were completely bare! Hopefully they will be in stock before my coupons expire. I ended up only getting yogurt for Drake.
