ah, random things.

Week 4 in school. thinking how to confuse the F1 kids with Addition and Subtraction of Integers. We have Friends & Enemies, Cats and Dogs, blah blah blah .. the classroom discourse was something like what you are about to read.... And all *blahblahblah* are monologues, okay?

eg: Talking about changing signs.... one kid proposed this method....
9+(-3) = ?

+ is Friend
- is Enemy
Your friend's enemy is also your enemy. Therefore the equation becomes 9-3=6
so you have "your friend's friend is also your friend", "your enemy's enemy is your friend", "your enemy's friend is your enemy". *pengsan*
*dang, just memorize: - for the different signs, + for the same signs*

Then the kids went 'ohhh', 'ooooo', 'yeaaaahhhh, i got it'......
after looking at the questions in the textbook for sometime, a few girls came back and said,

"Teaaaaacherrrrrrr, i don't understand laaaaaaar..."

and the jiaaaaaa in me fainted. :p *failed wei me, failed!*

Then i came out with the i-owe-you-money to explain 5-10+2....
"You see, you only have rm5 and you want to buy a book that costs rm 10 from me. You paid all that you have. How much do you still owe me?"

"yeah... it's -5"

"yups, so... if your mum gave you rm2 this morning and you used that money to pay me back. How much do you still owe me?

"ohh... it's -2"

"yaa.. if you still can't see, draw the number line, k?" *draw the number lines, baby!*

"okay, Teacher."

Seriously, their smiles melt my heart. All of them. :)
Yeah, that's a little bit of what jiaaaaa does when she goes to the form 1 class. and by the way, today i had to see the kids for three hours in a day *FAINT* -- all 3 are relief periods. The teacher-in-charge was so good to let me enter my form 1 class to handle the relief periods. I went in to the class at 730-830, 12-1, 1-2pm. The moment I stepped into the class.. their eyes were like terbeliak and they went crazy 'begging' me..

"oh no Teacher, no maths pleeeaasseeee....."

"Teacher, pls don't teach today..."

"Teacher, please don't give anymore maths homework....
you have already given us A LOT.."

*GRINS.. HEHE..*

Ok la.. then they started telling me that they have to do 5 times of correction for every wrong they got in the Sejarah paper. *a waste of paper and green ink and time* Pity them.. so i didn't telan the relief periods to teach maths. memang pun i gave them a lot of maths homework. School holiday is coming mah.. ;) and i memang generous in giving homework. *but i'm still not as hebat as ajw larrr*

That's about that for Maths.
Biology.. thinking how to make plants stuff such as Photosynthesis as interesting as the topic of Reproduction. *haha... what the crap*
Taught Biology for the first time yesterday. Realised that once i got excited i will tell Biology stories. Sheeeesh.. that's why lar i can't finish teaching Micronutrients. ok la, started the class late anyway. so it's not totally the fault of my biology stories. :p

Ok, it's bedtime. ;) let's see what happens tomorrow.

weekends have been my killer days ever since then.
it's a cycle. a darn cycle that i never wanted to repeat. i looked forward to weekends and at the same time dreaded the whatevers that may come or happen. how ironic is that! you are happy and at the same time you are angry and disappointed and frustrated.
it's like you know the impossibilities. the darn freaking impossibilities. and yet, something inside you tells you to continue playing along. desires. and more desires. you just want the company. we just want the company.
they said i shouldn't continue with this kind of stupidity coz i may not be able to take the consequences (and that might be an understatement). they said i shouldn't let people treat me like i'm the second best, a spare tyre.. sigh.

what happens if we are living symbiotically where there's this thing called
'mutualism'?

my mind can't stop running through today's incident. again and again.

why do i always encounter such things?

such bad hygiene things, i would say.
shifted to another unit on friday after school.
the moment i saw the toilet.. i almost fainted.
the moment i saw the ceiling fan in my room.. i almost fainted twice.
can't help but wondering where these people come from and at the same time amazed at their high tolerance level towards bad hygiene stuff.

it's unbelievable!

i should have taken pictures before cleaning the stuff...
i am lost for words to describe how bad the toilet WAS. it was real bad. very bad. white tiles became yellowish and you will puke badly the moment you saw the toilet bowl. stains everywhere. my oh my... *but after tonnes of hard work, now it's pretty 'standard'.*

the ceiling fan, it's supposed to be white or at least slightly yellowish, kan..? i tell you, it's my first time seeing a black fan... black because it was covered with dust! OMG teruk-teruk! huge caterpillar-liked dust wool came falling down when i wiped the fan.. eeeeeewwww..

so basically i spent the whole friday afternoon cleaning the toilet and my room. by dinner time, i was already half dead and still got cell to attend. came back after cell, decided to stay up to online. *it's a looong story, so just let it be*
saturday - repeated the same routine as friday afternoon until it's time for lunch and church.

oh wells, the place isn't that bad. bearable for me to stay there for two months. garh! at least it has a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, a toilet.. and therefore more place for me to be a maid. :p

i felt like a loser. haih. wondering why i have to go through this again and again and again. must i dream and always see your face? two more months... sigh :|

on the happy happy side, i received messages from different people wishing me Happy Teachers' Day. It feels weird. but it's kind of fun. :p
and i got belanja-ed makan muffin by my F1 girls ;)

today is thursday!

coming to the end of second week.. ;)

F1 mathematics - did some revision with them for two weeks which is equal to 6 hours of lesson and finally it's over *i quite enjoyed it by the way*. and next week is their exams. have to keep reminding them not to make careless mistakes and open their eyes besar-besar when they sit for the papers. they are a bunch of cute kids who kept pestering me to add them in FB which obviously i won't for the time being. told them i will give them a surprise at the end of my teaching practice if they got an A for the maths paper and they said "Yeah..!!"
and a moment after that they pleaded with their 'oh-look-at-us-a-poor-thing-face' saying...

"Teacher, no stationery, pleeeeaaaaase......"

"haha, i'll think about it.."

"Teachhhhhhheeerrrrrr....."

"alright, it's time. thank you, class..."

"Thaaaaank yooooouuuu Teeeeaaacherrrrr....."

had only 6 lessons with them and they are going make my voice crack. ;)
lesson plans for the week before school hols ~ still cracking my head thinking and daydreaming about it but it's almost done.

F4 biology - gee, lesson plan 26th may, done.
thinking about those experiments thingy.. sheessshh....
this gives me more tension than anything else ... garh.

have been reminding myself not to lose focus and not to fall back into the emo-jimo-fimo-limo cycle. the best is yet to come and therefore stop messing with the wrong people.

alright, it's time to get back to work ;)

i think i am starting to like my job which some time ago i didn't really like or bother to like.

i was basically zombie-ing around the whole day.
woke up at 10. marked the books. 1pm lunch at Tappers. church and stuff. came back to finish marking the books. bread and milo for dinner/supper.

i am trying to pay off the sleep debt, i guess.

sheesh... still got mood to blog.. garhh...

i was restless and i played many rounds of pacman to destress myself. then i figured out that i should go read the bible instead. :p

PJK has been preaching about "Not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God". what a reminder i get week after week that it's not by my might or power or wisdom or understanding.. but by the Spirit of God going before me and with me... hmmmmmm...

in KPS Auditorium, i couldn't wait til the clock strikes 10.30am. yeah, finally got rid of my last bio paper in uni. an extremely unexciting subject. argh!!

in DTC, the clock was ticking. 1.10pm. 1.15pm. 1.25pm. 1.28pm. and yes~~~!! 1.30pm! and i got rid of the Geografi pelancongan which is the most boring subject i have taken in my entire uni life. :p and thank God the only pen i have didn't fail on me coz' it was dying the moment i wrote the first sentence and there were 3 essays waiting for me to write. haha. blame me for not testing the pens or bringing extra pens. i didn't know that all the 3 pens i brought were memang dying d... sheeesh....

went to watch He's Just Not That Into You. nice movie. :p

an awesome!!! and crazy!!! night celebrating LiErn's birthday. ;)

my days in A214 is running out... sigh.

counting down to the days when i have to wake up early and work from 7.30 til 2, monday til friday; may or may not have co-curricular activities; may or may not need to work on saturdays; may or may not be involved in the musical production; definitely will be working my sssss off to prepare the lesson planssssss; thinking how to be more student-centered... and so on and so forth... argh...

i think i should go get some sleep ... ;)
