Seasons of Life

Upon reflection of the last year I'm amazed at how much can happen and be learned! Wow!
This last year involved times of healing, rest, planning and going, travel, fun, grieving, reflecting on what really matters in life, health & joy!

Some wise speakers recently shared:

Seasons are a time frame allotted for something to happen until they fulfill their purpose. There is a reason for every season in our lives. His heart is that we embrace the season we're in. Don't run ahead and make Ishmaels. We are created to depend on Him. Embrace each season and live in the now. We suffer when we try to avoid the difficulty in our life. Faith is having unshakable confidence in the unchanging character of God.

Summer - Beauty, warm, holiday, rest, freedom, productivity, activity, young life, strength, fun, green pastures.

Autumn - A season of great influence. It's a season of great change, but great beauty.

Winter - On this side of heaven there is much we don't know. The greatest tests of our faith is to trust Him. It's a necessary part of maturity. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Things are revealed about Him (and about ourselves) that I wouldn't have learned any other way.

Spring - When He calls us to do something, He wants us to build well. Believe Him to do great things in my life. Don't take the meetings casually that happen around the world.

In Love With the Old

Found this old Ford tucked away in the woods!

Sunny and Clear

Rain and snow have gone for the day so I went romping around my favorite stomping grounds on a delightfully sunny day!
I just LOVE views next to a river!
Can't believe we got a fabulous crisp day in December!!! One of my FAVORITE views!

Just barely got the car pulled over for the sunset! :) I'm just in awe and feeling so blessed to be able to galavant and take in the sights!

Morning Light

I've been told that when taking pictures in the manual setting you need to adjust to the light. Natural light seems to work best for me and I enjoying working with the morning light!
I think there is a spiritual side to this too. Letting your light shine where ever you are is important and beautiful!

I LOVE LEAVES!

Learning About Culture

When we go into a different country we are in someone else's normal.

On the Road in The Prairies & Rockies

I LOVE getting up early especially when there are pictures to be taken in the glowing morning sun!!!! I was rewarded this morning in Saskatchewan. :)

The Rockies are back in sight!

Highest pass open all year round in BC or Canada?!

Picnic dinner in a cabin in the woods! :)

Fabulous Views in The Rockies

My friends took me hiking in The Rockies! A 360 degree view awaited us. It was breath taking! Wild flowers are only out two months of the year and we were there to treasure see them!

Hard Work Never Felt Sooooo Good!

I spent a few weeks in Boundary Country looking after my cousin's girls and farm while he took his wife mountain goat hunting! I really, really, REALLY enjoyed being out in the country with work to do and a river to float down! It was pretty exciting around the farm!
My toast got sung to every morning! It was toasted in a Cinderella toaster that toasted a glass slipper into it and sang a little tune when the toast was ready!
Four black lab puppies arrived while I was on duty! I got to name this little guy Hudson!
Mouflon sheep! Some good looking rams! Got to fix a little electric fence that these guys kicked down.
Chicks hatched while I was there too! Got to see a chick hatch.... live... not on TV. A first for me! Trying to move this mother hen from the top of the hay stack to this coup was an adventure. They're awfully protective. She was flapping her wings trying to get at me... .but a plastic shovel kept her at bay. Barely.
Six am never looked so good!
