Wedding Post #4

50 DAYS!!
I really can't believe it. It still feels like it is coming too slowly but I'm sure it will be here before I know it. Things are moving right along though. We have ordered our invitations and are waiting for them to get here. I'm super excited!!! My bedroom is starting to look like a bridal shop. I have my dress, Megean's dress and Aiden's dress all hanging up in there.

Josh and I both have our wedding bands and, as always, he went above and beyond on mine. He really is the best man EVER!! I mean not just because he has good taste in jewelery but he takes such great care of us. I had Aiden's Parent Teacher Conference this past week. Because of some difficulties in Aiden's life before she has a hard time in school. Her teacher told me that she could tell such a difference in the past month is Aiden's school work.

I let her know that I was getting married and he is going to be a teacher. He works with her alot on her reading and math. It was such a comfort to have her teacher let me know it is making a difference. Josh has been an amazing help to me but it is always hard to tell how a child is going to adjust. Sounds like she is doing great!

Aiden really does love it already. She always wants to go to his house and know where he is. He came over for dinner the other night and she wanted to try on her flower girl dress for him. It was just great! I'm so excited to have a man in our lives that not only do I cherish and love but so does Aiden! What a blessing!

We got out engagement photos back and this was Josh's favorite.
Or at least I'm pretty sure it is.

This is my favorite!!!

New Blog!!

I mentioned earlier about wanting to start a new family blog. Well after one amazing comment from Marcia and Jacob and some interpreting by Josh, we have a new blog. I will keep this one up and going for another month or so. Just so everyone who wants to find my new one can. I am so happy to start fresh! I have an amazing fiance' and adorable daughter and, for once, the future looks bright!!

Lil' Help

As I previously announced, I'm getting married!!! This blog has been with me since 2007. And while it has been a good and faithful blog, I believe it is time for a change! I am not having the best luck thinking up a cute new name. I would love to do some sort of play on our names or my new last name (Rayburn). I open the floor to any and all suggestions! Help me name my new blog :)

Everyone asks me what Aiden thinks of Josh. She just adores him! I think, because of her bad past with my ex-husband, she struggles alot with new people and especially men. But she has had several conversations with me about how much she loves Josh and how excited she is for her "new Daddy."
But, as usual, a picture is worth 1000 words. Josh and Aiden were making cookies after church this past Sunday. I told them both to smile and this is what I captured. Love it!

I'm Engaged!!

So, yesterday Josh proposed!

Details to come soon! But keep December open :)

Another year older

This year my birthday fell on a Thursday. Which meant I had to work then go to school and take 2 tests. Yuck!! Didn't really feel like a birthday. A few days before, Josh had asked if he could take Aiden out shopping on Wednesday. I said it was fine with me if Aiden wanted too. Of course she did! So I left for school and Josh came to get her after he got done with class.

I had no idea why he wanted to take her shopping. Well, they went to get me flowers for my birthday. I came home from class about 11pm to find beautiful yellow roses on my computer desk. They were so pretty!

When I called Josh to tell him Thank you he said "there's more." I asked him if I needed to hunt for if I would find it. Well, I walked in my room and Aiden had picked out red roses for me. I just went ahead and added them in.

This was by far my favorite part of the entire gift. On the little flower card her wrote the Ukrainian over the English. I think I will always treasure this little card.

Labor Day weekend we went to Josh's house after church and had some fun times. This is Aiden in Josh's chairs.

I cooked so he did the dishes. So cute, right?! Look at that smile :)

Aiden was a wild woman!

We went to Dry Ridge, Kentucky where Josh is from and spent some time with Grandma and Paul. Aiden was super excited to get to swim. And by swim I mean get in the water and not leave the steps.

Aiden and Josh in the pool Love this pic!!!
It was such an a amazing 3 day weekend. On Saturday, Josh threw me a Birthday BBQ and had some friends over. It was great!! So great I didn't get a chance to take pictures. Even my sister and brother in law were able to come into town. Then we went to my dad's and had a little party and had the best night sitting around the fire talking. Weird growing up and being able to hang out with your parents and have a conversation.

Introducing. . .

Josh!
I guess if we are already "Facebook official" it is about time I announce it on my blog. This is my boyfriend, Josh. As you can see from the picture he really lights up my life.

A few fun facts about Josh:
*He served a mission in the Ukraine
*He is a cellist
*He is in his last year at EKU for Music Education
*He loves to cook (and is really good at it too)
*He ALWAYS opens my car door
*He can tell when I'm not telling the whole truth without even looking at me

This weekend Aiden and I got to go to Pops in the Park. It was such a fun time. We just went and took a blanket and watched and hung out.

Aiden has an orange soda mustache but other than that it's a cute picture :)

Aiden got a hold of the camera.

This is Brother Jasinski and Josh.

You can barely see Aid but I thought the fireworks were great after the show. They were awesome! Way better than 4th of July at Lake Reba this year.
I'm so glad you have the time and resources to take Aiden to events like this. Next weekend we are headed to the circus so that should be even better!
