We Are ALIVE!

Yes, it is true we are still living! The last few months have been fun filled. The holidays were busy, but great! The kids are still alive with severe cabin fever,  Justin is still scooting right along in school, and for myself well I will just give it to you how it really is.  I keep telling myself that I am to busy to update my blog..... But let the truth be told......... this is what I have really been doing!

1. Trying to shovel our way out of the front door! I am not kidding. We get the 2nd most snow in the entire US. What!!!! Why do I live here???

2.  The Uglies Trilogy! I am obsessed. You must read them! This is what consumed my nights. When the kids are in bed. I was reading!

3. The one and only BACHELOR. Ok everyone must admit, it is so addicting and I love it. Every Monday Night a bunch of my girlfriends get together (after the kids and husband are in Bed) and watch every last minute. We even rewind when we just need to see that certain part again!

4. Then of course my pride and joy's... the little nuggets. Having 2 little boys is crazy. You would think I would be 120lb sculpted body with all of the wrestling I break up and chasing around I do. But I just have not been blessed with such things. Bummer. Before I know it the day is over and I am breathing in a paper bag! It sure doesn't get better than that!

Fun at the Zoo

This summer Max has taken a few classes at the zoo! They have been darling and fun! He has really enjoyed them and we are sad summer is coming to an end. The last class of the season was called "All Aboard the Zoo Train." They we taught all about the zoo train and the met the conductor. They each received a conductor hat and a train whistle. I don't know who enjoyed it more, Me or Max? Thanks Annie Girl and Addie for coming with us!

Picture Time

While we were in Utah we finally had the  boys' pictures taken. Yea!  A friend from high school took them and they turned out great. It is almost impossible to have two boys, 2 and under hold still for two minutes.  By the end we were all sweating and covered in dirt! Thanks Torie.

MAX VS. POPCORN KERNEL

Let me paint the picture for you.... I am at Young Woman's and I get a text from the hubby. I read "Max has a popcorn kernel stuck in his hear." I couldn't believe it! I could not stop laughing. I called to make sure what I was reading was true. Oh, was it true! I got home and little Max was just crying and the kernel was stuck. Clear down there. We called a few docs in our ward asking for some advice and also the on call pedeatrician. We tried all of their suggestions, except taking him to the ER. That was our next step. After about an hour or so we decided to give it one more. We pinned Max down, while he was screaming and kicking, and the "Winner" Daddy finally pulled it out with these scissor/tweezer things. Hooray! The pictures explain the rest. Tell me this happens to every child????

Hill Cumorah Pageant

The Pageant was a sure success! We went with about 7 other families and had a great time. I did not know how Max and Zane would do since it doesn't start until 9:15 pm. They both did great and stayed awake, until about the last 5 minutes. Max stood on his chair the entire time and just kept asking questions! It was great. Now he keeps singing his own made up version... "Nephi built a boat." He really enjoyed it and is still talking about it. The actual performance takes place on the actual Hill Cumorah. It is an amazing performance and an incredible site. This was Justin's first time seeing it and I haven't seen it since I graduated high school. I forgot how good it was. In fact as we were walking up to where we were going to sit, there are just thousands of people everywhere.  An incredible site. I look over at my cute husband and he is pretty teary eyed. A very touching site. Overall the night was great. We didn't get to our hotel until about midnight. To our luck they messed up on two of our rooms and we ended up all sleeping in one bed. All 4 of us! At least we didn't have a smoking room (Sorry Brook, I don't feel to bad, you did get it for free!).  Anyway, the next morning when we got in the car to come home...... the good old Camry won't start. 250, 000 miles and she won't start? What ??HA HA. Between all of the testosterone with us, they couldn't figure out the problem! Thanks
to AAA for the free tow,  a "car fix it" place open on a Sunday (only outside of Utah), and wonderful great friends who stayed with us and wasted their entire day, (I love you Johnson's, Olsen's and Browns) we finally made it back home! A Fabulous Weekend!

Children's Play Museum

This last weekend we went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, NY. We decided to spend the day at the National Children's Play Museum in Rochester. Max was in heaven! It was a darling museum. They had a huge section of Sesame Street, and of course that was a hit. They had Elmo's bedroom with Mr. Noodle! I believe Max's very favorite part was the grocery store. It was a little Wegman's (gorcery store in the east). He thought is was fantastic. They had little shopping carts and all. They even checked themselves out and printed out a receipt! Maybe mom liked it more. Zane even had fun. He really wanted to get on the floor and crawl ever where, okay so maybe we let him. Is that gross? Here a few pics of the fun!

Summer Fun

Summer always brings fun! We had a great 4th of July. We began the festivities  with a great Pancake Breakfast at the church, always wonderful to get free food! The remainder of the day was spent at the beach with friends BBQ-ing, swimming, playing football, making sandcastles, and a whole lot of chatting!! Overall it was a fun holiday. Other than that..... same old stuff.
