So, many of you may not know yet, but we are expecting baby number 5 in March (around the 11th). We had our ultrasound today, and we are very proud to announce (much to our boys' disappointment) we are having a boy! We are so excited and can I just say Jon is one proud papa--you should have seen the huge smile on his face when they said it was a boy (just the other day he was kind of stressing what he would do with, or should I say how he should father, a little girl:)). Enjoy the pictures (sorry they are kind of hard to see)!
Welcome to the Beck Family Blog where the stories get better and better every time--that is the kids never miss a beat and are always having adventures of some sort. Come join our fun as you experience our grand adventures vicariously through our blog. Enjoy!

Soccer Time Again!
Here are some pictures of our soccer boys. They are having fun, although Anson seems a little unsure of things come game time. He tends to be in his own little world until I say, "Anson, run!" He then looks at me until it seems to click and then he puts his head down and runs--sometimes in the direction of the ball but often just running to show me how fast he can run (in no particular direction). It's lots of fun to watch them play and have fun. Isaac is sure excited for his turn to play in games. He practices with Anson's team (since Jon is his coach), but come game day he has to sit the bench and we go through the same devastation cry each time. It will sure be fun when he gets to play.
We also have some pictures of Anson's church wound. He was on the ground during sacrament meeting when he started to get a little too irreverent. I asked Jon to get him to remind him he needed to be reverent. Anson decided to kick away as Jon was trying to get him and the blasted hymnbook holder got in the way. Anson nailed it and started crying (the goal of trying to get him to be more reverent was obviously not met). Jon quickly took him out. I didn't really think anything of it until sacrament meeting ended and people kept asking me very worried like, "Is Anson okay?" I just kind of smiled and said he's fine he just bumped his head, but then someone finally told me that he had been bleeding really bad. I didn't even know he was bleeding, so I started to get a little more concerned. Luckily he did not need stitches (unlike the prediction of some who stopped me to see how Anson was doing); just a band aid and an early trip home from church. Don't you worry, we'll sure teach our kids to be reverent in sacrament meeting:)
Last but not least are some pictures of our beach trip this last weekend. We went to a place called Buckroe Beach, and we had a great time. We even saw a sand crab and had some fun watching him until Josh squashed him (I guess you can't expect a fifteen month old to play nice with a small, fragile creature). The boys had a good time finding seashells and playing in the water. We love when Jon has time off:)

Avery's First Day of School and a Little More
Here are some pictures of Avery's first day of school (he loves school, but it is a long day for those poor Kindergartners--bus leaves at 8:35 and comes home at 4:05), Joshua snuggling with Anson while he drinks his bottle (I went into the family room to find the two of them like this, it has never happened before and it was sooo cute), the boys together in the backyard before church, and Anson reading to his toad (I guess he put his toad on his little saber-toothed tiger--Jasper--and started reading Eight Little Monkeys to him). What fun boys we have!

Mortensen Family Reunion
Here are some pictures of the Mortensen family reunion. We went to Aspen Grove with the whole gang (minus McKay who is serving our country), and we had a blast!
Update--Finally (at least with pictures)
It's been a long time since we've posted, sorry about that. Here are some pictures of the boys ice blocking with the youth of our ward, the DC temple, the beach, and some nice pictures of Josh and his crazy teeth:) Enjoy!
