Noah and Tonsils...

After having step for like the 5th time this year.  The last time it was twice in one month, one right after the other.  Tonsils so big and swollen he was having a hard time breathing.  The Dr. decided we needed to see the ENT.  So we did and had a chat and decided Noah needed his Tonsils out.  So on the  29th of Jan.  We were at the hospital at 6:45 a.m. so we wouldn't be late for 7a.m. apt.
The not so fun part of this whole thing, he will be out of school for a very long time.
Jan. 29th - Feb. 13th!!
He gets to go back to school on Valentines day.  So that should be fun for him.  He is bored!!  He watches a lot of movies and drinks a LOT of water and juice.  He can only eat soft food and has had lots of popsicles and lots of cold stuff.  So far he is doing okay.  I guess we haven't really gotten to the it hurts a ton part of this whole adventure.  So I am just waiting and holding onto the more powerful medicine the Dr. gave us.  For now it is Motrin and Tylenol.
The other weird thing about this whole thing is that Noah is not talking like AT ALL.  Not unless I can't guess what he needs or wants.  For Noah that is so very strange.  We are doing lots of homework so that he won't be behind when he gets back.
Now a few pictures.

After he was all ready, and just before he went back!!  The smile didn't last all that long.

All done and trying to wake up all the way.  His favorite part was how they dressed up his friend.  He also liked the popsicle smoothies the nurses gave him.  They also taught me how to make them and he ate a lot of those the first few days.  Now I need to buy more for when his throat hurts more!!

Like I said he has been bored and really lonely.  So Dad and Rae went and watched a movie with him so he wouldn't be so lonely.  If he can sit still and rest he can sit out with the rest of us.  Noah being well Noah that is really hard and so he ends up in his room a lot.  Watching movies and resting, so that he get back to being himself soon.

Camren's Adventure

Well the 21st of December started and adventure that for Camren wasn't all that fun!!
We were getting ready to leave and deliver our little gifts to the neighbors.  Robbie and I were in and out of the house and the kids were waiting to get into the truck.  Camren decided to start climbing on the basketball hoop, in snow boots in the snow.  It was slippery, really slippery!  He slipped, and went face first into the big pole.  He knocked out his front tooth, and I mean all the way root and all.  He was screaming and crying and I admit it I was freaking out a bit.  We needed to find his tooth.  I was yelling for Robbie to get me a flash light, at the same time trying to help Camren out.  He looked at me and told me to call the dentist and he would find the tooth.  Which took some doing, it was dark and the tooth was IN THE SNOW!!  So that is what I did, had Camren come in and start rinsing his mouth out and I called.  We were able to get the dentist and within 15 min. he was at his office helping us with the task at hand.  Getting Camren's tooth back in his head.  Lucky for Camren he did that within like 45 min.  He had to put some temporary braces on so that the tooth wouldn't fall out. On top of him knocking it out, he also chipped the tooth.  So it has been a fun adventure for sure.  Now I am going to put some of the pictures we took.  They aren't bad, they do make you hurt just looking at them just so you know.

Not the best picture, this is what he looked like with no tooth.  It was not a fun night.  I am just grateful that with the help of THREE dentist his tooth was saved.  Yup that's right three.  Dr. Chamberlin put his tooth back in, Dr. Condie looked at it the Friday after he did it and hooked us up with Dr. Creer who did the root canal.  Dr. Condie also put the final filling in and fixed the chip in his tooth.

The next day, he got it really good.  If you look close you can see the temporary braces.  He also broke the bone in his face that holds on to his tooth.  On the up side when they put it back in it was much straighter than it was!!

This was almost a week later.  He had a nice shiner, all the way from his lip to his eye.

His poor face was swollen quite a bit.  The bruise isn't even showing yet in this one.  He did a good job on his face.

All I can think of is OWE!!  Luck for us the 31st of Jan was the very last dentist apt.  He got his temporary braces off on the 28th and that was three weeks before I was expecting them to be.  Now we just have to wait for the next fun adventure!!

Fall fun...

Rae has been watching Curious George's Boo Fest...No joke everyday!!  She keeps asking me if there are leaves for her to jump in.  I think it has been like a month or something like that.  So today, I finally got outside to get most of our leaves cleaned up.  The thought did occur to me that it would just be easier if I didn't tell the kids what I was doing.  Then Rae came out and asked me if she could jump in the leaf pile like George.  How could I say no!!

She was so excited!!  What you can't see is that she has on flip flops!!  At least she has shoes on right??!!  It was a pretty warm day today!!

Coco even wanted to come and play in the leaf pile!!

I am sure she was saying something very important!! Silly girl.

Eventually my couch potato wanted to come join in the fun.  So Camren came out and had a little fun for a while too.  Again, the dog wanted in on the action.

 Rae and her cute self.
Noah didn't want to get any leaves in his eyes, I was using the blower!!  So he came in the house and found these.  He looks awesome right!!

Rae's camping adventure....

My parents decided that they were going to go camping.  Okay awesome have fun!!  Well they were going to take Rae for a night so that I wouldn't have to miss work.  I was okay with that too!!  Then plans changed and the place that they were going to go to they couldn't any longer.  So they decided that I needed to be able to go to work, they would just take her with them for three days and two nights.  I know I should have been jumping up and down and having a little party.  I didn't know what to do with myself!!  The boys were at school and Rae was gone.  The house was so quiet!!
She had such a fun time.  She was glad to be home and well let's face it I was glad to have her home.  So here are a few pictures, there are so many more and I still need to get them from my parents.

I love this one of Rae and my dad!!  She loves him so much, and well lets face it she has him wrapped around her little finger!!

It rained almost every day they were gone.  So the umbrella was Rae's newest friend.  It went every where that she did.  There are so many other good photo's that I need to get.  Some with just her little legs poking out from under the umbrella.  She had a great time!!

This is one of my favorites!!  Love this little face and her spit fire personality!!

Soccer

From the 22nd of August to the 3rd of October we where rather busy.  We had soccer practice usually on a Tuesday ( most of the time we had two practices in one night!) and then we had two games a week.  Thursdays and Saturdays (both boys games where the same day, we were lucky if they weren't at the same time!).  The boys did an awesome job and they made some new friends in the process.  I couldn't have been happier.  We only had a few games that the boys had a game at the same time on different fields.  Those were hard, I would get them to one game Robbie would get off work and come and get Camren usually and take him to his game.  When Noah's was over we would pile in the car and head to the next game to watch what we could.  They both did really well.
Camren is and wonderful goalie!!  He did so good, the more he practiced the better he got.  Shocker I know!!  He doesn't really like to run too much so goalie or a defender was a really good place for him to be.  Although he did his best where ever his coach put him.
Noah was just fun to watch.  He played his little heart out every game.  His friends where just as fun to watch too!!  One in particular, he eats, sleeps, and breaths any sport and is really good at soccer.  They were all fun to watch and I think, I take that back I know we will be doing it again next year!!

Coach Hadlock was awesome!!  He did his best to help them learn their positions.  For 6 and 7 year olds that can be a hard thing to learn.  Especially when they really just want to get the ball and score a goal!!

Camren in action!!  We had to start telling him that if he wouldn't play hard and run and do his best he was going to owe us money.  It was only .10 that was enough to get him up and moving.  I would yell from the side lines that's .10.  He would move and hustle his best.  He could earn it back too.  This kid can kick that ball far.  I didn't get any of those pictures, I wish I would have.  He is really good when he wants to be!!

You can almost see every face.  Loved watching this team have fun playing together!!

Camren was goalie that's why the green shirt.  This team was a lot of fun to watch and cheer for as well!!

 Looking so determined....

I just love how he looks in this one!!

It was so hot this day!!  They all did a great job.  They where all so tired by the time the game was over.

Apricot Tree

On Saturday we had the sad task of taking down our apricot tree.  It didn't do much last year and was looking kind of sad.  This year it didn't do anything at all.  No leaves, or blossoms. So we took it down.  I should say Robbie took it down and the rest of us helped!!

Our Sad tree before we took it down.

Robbie only made me nervous a few times while he was in the top of the tree.  At least he knows what he is doing!!

Almost gone....

The boys had the job of putting all the small branches from the top in the truck.  Then I helped them put the bigger stuff in the wheelbarrow and we took it and stacked it on the wood pile.  It was a lot of work and they did a good job.  Rae even helped out.

Now my yard just looks bare.  Need a new tree to put in it's place.  Not sure just what we are going to plant or when.  It will happen!!

Wisteria

Our Japanese Wisteria has bloomed!!!
We planted it I really don't remember how long ago and it is finally blooming.  I love it and really the pictures don't do it justice.  The smell is amazing too.
So enjoy...
