and she's off....

I really did not think this day would really come! I cannot believe that McKinley is officially a Kindergartener... She has been so ready for this day for a long time!

I also didn't really think it would be as hard as it was! I seriously got emotional dropping my baby girl off today... It was kinda tough BUT so worth it to see her eyes light up when we were there!
Some things I want to remember about McKinley right now:

1. How excited she has been! There is not a day that goes by that she doesn't tell me how excited she is for school! I want her to always be this excited to learn!

2. How she said goodbye to Luke. She hugged him and said she loved him and that she would be back later! I love how much she loves her brother and already how much she is going to love her new baby sister!

3. Her personality and imagination! She has got it going for her! She is the sweetest girl and has been such a good helper to me. I love this girl!

yep... still here!

Where does time go? Well, the summer has almost come and gone and by the lack of posts you might say things have been busy around here... So for the 2 people that might read this, here is an update on us...

NaTHaN: still being the best hubs around. working hard but still squeezing time in for me and the kiddos. he started his summer softball with the men's league and now is on to the coed league. we have a lot of fun going to his games...

miss McKiNLeY: still the little fire cracker she's always been. she starts kindergarten august 29 and you could say she is a little excited. she is growing up too fast, i wish i could freeze time! i am so excited for her to start this new adventure, but i am freaking out and tear up just thinking of my lil lady growing up...

mr LuKe: still my little man. he is all boy... 'nuff said. he is 2 1/2 and keeps me on my toes. he can run in a circle and never stop... seriously. he is so sweet and still gives me the best loves in the morning... he lays his head on my shoulder, pats my back and says 'hi, mom...' he is a mocking bird and i have had to censor some of the things that may or may not pop out of my mouth... so now if we say anything his response is usually, ' that bad word...' even if it's not a 'bad word'...

MaRiLee: still loving this whole mom thing. still working part time but hopefully not for long. for those of you who might not know, i am about 18 weeks along... due january 11. i am so excited! we will find out august 25 what this little baby is...

I know you have been on the edge of your seat waiting for me to post something... ANYTHING! Well, I am awesome and finally given you what you wanted... a post! The thing is... well I am pretty much the crappiest blogger in all the land. It is the truth. I could say that I will try harder to be a better blogger. But who am I to make promises I can't keep... HAHAHA!

So, in honor of my two kiddos, I thought I should give them a Birthday post!

{ McKinley }

On February 11, my little lady turned 5! I think I am having a mid-life crisis because she is getting so big. She will go to kindergarten this fall, which might be adding a little to my mid-life crisis situation.

McKinley is so fun! She loves to learn and is a little smarty pants. She teaches me something new everyday... sometimes its just patience to deal with all the drama a 5 year old girl has. She loves dance, preschool, cafe rio pork salads, and her twin babies- Chloe and Claire.

{ Luke }

My little buddy turned 2 on January 8! I cannot believe he is 2... time flies!

Luke is ALL boy... which makes it fun for his daddy! He is also very smart and learns a lot from his sister while he follows her around. He LOVES Toy Story... and really LoVeS Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. He loves loves anything to do with sports, being outside, and eating mac and cheese.

Thankful

This time of year always makes me think of what I am thankful for. This picture is it. I am SO thankful for my family. It amazes me how much you can love a single person, and then times that by three. I LoVe these guys SO much!

I am thankful for Nathan. 10 years ago I would never have thought that I would be so happy, in love, and have such an amazing relationship with him. I am forever thankful for him and his hard work, good attitude, and awesome example to me and our kids.

I am thankful for McKinley. This little girl definitely keeps me on my toes. She has a personality that I envy. She is my reminder to always cherish every moment and keep those memories close to your heart. I love this little lady.

I am thankful for Luke. He is my sweet little boy. He has the best giggle ever and I love to hear it. He has taught me so much without using words. I love to watch him figure things out. I love how I love being his Momma.

It's a little belated but we hope you all had a fun Halloween this year! This year seems to keep on flying by... I can't believe that it is Thanksgiving and Christmas already...

I don't know how you bloggers do it... but I seriously can't keep up. Maybe a few lessons from you awesome bloggers? I dunno... Maybe someday I'll figure out how to do it ALL and keep up!! HaHAHAA!
