Blessing Day

Adelaide was blessed in our church on December 4th. Evan blessed her and it was awesome. She looked beautiful in the dress that Kathy got her and the blanket that my mom and I made (with the help of my amazing aunt Ger).
I'm so grateful for all the friends and family that came to the blessing. Ev's dad traveled from Seattle to be there and Joby and Cru drove from Roosevelt for her special day!
I'm also grateful for our church and the spirit that I feel every time I attend meetings. I love my Heavenly Father and I'm eternally grateful that He entrusted me and Ev with our little angel Adelaide and that we can be together forever!
Also, the next week we were able to go to lil' Joby's blessing. He's such a cute little wizard.

The Hunt

Ev and I go hunting one day a year... for the perfect Christmas tree. Adelaide didn't join us this year. She stayed with her gammy (Sheryl) while Ev and I trekked into the wilderness up Immigration (or is it Emigration? I can never remember) Canyon.
Our faithful dog Lucy came with us and tried to give me mouth-to-mouth when I fell down the mountain and had snow dreadlocks by the end of the day.
After only about an hour of searching we found the perfect trees for us and Sheryl. This is one of my favorite traditions. It gets the Christmas season started in a very fun way!

Thanksgiving!

Were we crazy to take our four-week-old eight hours through desolate Wyoming to get to my aunt and uncle's house in Fort Collins? Some thought so (mostly my dad), but it was totally worth it!

All the Archer kids made the trek to Colorado in order to have a festive Thanksgiving with the Moore clan and Granny. Adelaide did surprisingly well on the car ride and charmed her way into her aunt and great grandmother's hearts in the first few minutes of getting to know them (it was easy... they already knew they'd love her before they even met her).

I love how crazy and chaotic my family is getting with all of the new additions. It was awesome to see little Joby. Even though he's only five days younger than Adelaide, she looked like she could eat him. It was so nice to hold such a little fellow and he doesn't cry... just deeply grunts. He also looks like he is staring into my soul whenever he looks at me. All the Archer kids are super awesome and I love being an aunt to such BEAUTIFUL, amazing kiddos. I just hope Cru forgives me for slapping him after he bit me.

Aunt B spoiled us with all of her love and wonderful food. It was fantastic to be with all of the Moores and my sweet granny for the holidays.

Adelaide update:
Adelaide had her one-month celebration while we were in Colorado (it consisted of me saying loudly to her, "Yay! You are a one-month-old today"), and she is doing great. At her two week appointment she had already gained two pounds from her birth weight. I like my girl chunky.
