Family Fun Center

With Dad and Ethan in Atlanta this week for their annual dirt bike trip, Maria and I decided to get the kids out and go to the zoo! Well, imagine the disappointment when we arrived and realized that they were closed for the day. Boo! We decided to hit up the Family Fun Center instead and the kids had lots of fun. The weather was nice-ish and everyone left happy and in good spirits.

Glassblowing

Melissa bought a groupon for a glassblowing class at the Rainier building in Seattle and it was SO much fun. I had no idea this place even existed but it was such a cool experience... or maybe I should say "hot" experience. ha. ha. I absolutely love our finished products and I totally want to go and do this again!

Back to the Zoo

I got to visit the zoo twice this month since David had his second grade field trip to the Woodland Park Zoo and it was so much fun because David loooooves the zoo! I was dreading this field trip. The entire week and been cold and wet. Really, really wet. When I woke up this morning to dark skies and pouring rain all I wanted to do was turn on my fireplace and crawl back in bed, but David's excited smile was enough to keep me from it.

The entire bus ride to the zoo was loud, wet, and cold and I could hardly wait for the day to be over, but as soon as the bus pulled off I-5, the most miraculous thing happened. The rain stopped. Completely. And then the sun came out. It was AWESOME and I had so much fun watching David run from exhibit to exhibit with his buddies. What a fun day!
