Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving with my side, the Hall's, and like always there was never a dull moment. To start the day off we went down to the church and had family pictures and the 2nd Annual Turkey Trot. My team won, Dustin's was not so lucky.
We then went back to my parent's house, played some games, and then ate delicious food. Thanks again to everyone who brought stuff, it was all amazing.
We then sat around for a while and let the food digest, then we broke out the pies and desserts and enjoyed those while people took turns recording their dance moves for the 2nd Dance off competition. Dustin, Archer, and I did not participate. I don't mind looking like a fool but I really can't dance. The winners this year were, in the young division Colton, and in the adult division Amanda. It was so funny to watch everyone dance, and know that you are not going to be embarrassed.
We then ended the night by playing some games. I love hanging out with family and just having a good time. I love you all!

Halloween!

So I know I'm late like always but I needed to document Archers first Halloween, and the first time our costumes were not extremely lame.
We had a lot of fun festivities the week of Halloween. We started out with a party at Grandma Hall's house. It was so fun, she had every one of her grandkids there. Here they are showing off their cute costumes.
Next we got together with Destry, Riley, and Devon to make some haunted houses. It was so fun! It is most definitely going to be a new Halloween tradition.
And last we had a Halloween party to end the spooky month. And like always it was so fun to get together with friends and family.
And here is just a fun smiley face picture of Archer. He is so cute!

Halloween fun!

I love spending time with my little family and I love Halloween. So I really love spending time with my little family doing Halloween things. On Saturday Dustin, Archer, and I went and got the rest of our Halloween costumes, and picked out pumkins to carve. We just spent the day together and it was so fun to not worry about school work or anything else and just have fun!

Archer watching the festivities.Archer chillin' in a pumkin, he was not a fan.
The finished product!Archer loves his bath, it is probaby his favorite time of the day.

Hall Retreat

On October 15 and 16 me and Archer headed up to Bear Lake for the annual Hall womens reatreat. It was so much fun! We had delicious food, fun games, of course the sharing of our Grandma Zelma projects. It is so awesome to hear what everyone did that year to become more like our amazing Grandma Z. She would be so proud!!

Sweet moments

So for my birthday this year, I kept changing my mind with what I wanted. Finally I just told Dustin to let me go shopping and buy some new clothes. I was rather excited for this shopping trip because all of my clothes are stretch out from my pregnancy or out of style. I have been exercising everyday for the last couple weeks and feeling good, but the feeling did not last long. I soon found out that I should have waited a couple more weeks or possibly months to venture into a dressing room. My hips are wider, my boobs are saggy and huge, I didn't think that could ever happen at the same time. And as I fought off tears in almost every dressing room, and cried to my sister and my mom, my wise mother pointed out that Archer is so worth it. And oh my goodness he totally is. As hard as it is for me to get used to my new body, i would gain another 5000000 pounds just to get to spend the sweet little moments with my little guy everyday.
And what sweet little moments make me want to do that you might ask? Moments like when we are getting ready to go for a walk. When he is wrapped up in a towel and just content. When he is peacefully sleeping. When he is staring at me like I am a crazy person. And one of my new favorites, when he busts out a huge gummy smile!!Yeah my life is perfect just the way it is, big hips saggy boobs and all.

School, Canning, and Growth Spurts

So life has been busy, slow, busy, slow here in our house. Dustin has been super busy with school, and work, Archer is growing like a weed and is about 14 pounds or possibly more. He tends to gain about 1 1/2 pounds a week these days, and I have been busy canning peaches and applesauce. I think it is very interesting how it hits you like a ton of bricks when you have a child, how important food storage is. Me and Dustin can eat stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce but I don't think Archer will be a fan. So my new goal is to have a decent amount of food storage and some 72 hour kits put together by the end of this year. Wish me luck!
This year in my family we had three new babies born. Lincoln (3 weeks), Kennedi (5 months), and Archer (6 weeks).I really wanted to get a picture of Archer riding the corn chopper this year, but when we went out to ride with my dad, he does what is loves.....sleep. Hopefully next year.Archer has been starting to pull really sad faces along with some really big smiles but I can never catch them on camera he is too fast. This is the best I can get.

Holy Smokes!

So even though I am a week late, better late than never. Dustin and I made it to our 2nd year anniversary!! This year has flown by! And I am happy to say that I love Dustin more today than the day we were married, and I loved him a lot that day. He is an amazing husband, father, and the bestest friend I could ask for. Its crazy to think about how far we have come in our life, but our life could not be better! I love you snookums!! :) And of course we can't forget little Archer, he is over a month old! I can't believe it!

Reunion and Archer's Blessing

So we had a very busy weekend last week. We got together with my family for the annual Jerry Hall Reunion, were we camped outside (not our little family), played games and just had a good time. My parent's playing minute to win it. Then on Sunday we blessed our little man. Dustin did an amazing job. It was such a beautiful blessing. Archer slept through the whole thing so we will have to tell him about it later. Our little family.

Love

So I never thought in my life that I could love someone that I have barely met face to face as much as I love my little boy. He brings so much joy into my life I cannot even describe it. He has made the spirit in our home stronger, made me more loving, and made my tough as nails husband as soft as butter. I don't think that he has kissed me as much in the 2 years of our marriage as he has kissed Archer in the last 6 days. He is such a amazing baby, hardly ever cries, eats like a champ, and is such a fun snuggler.
We went to the doctor today and they told me that he is doing awesome. He has gained about 5 ounces since the last time he was weighed, his coloring is perfect and everything sounds and looks good. All I have to say is that as much pain I was in before my epidural, I would totally go through again for him. I just love him so much!!!!!
Our first family picture.
First day home from the hospital, wide awake and checking everything out.
First bath, hated everything but the nice head massage. He was in heaven.
