December 2009

Sooooo grown up. The girls are watching a movie on Grace's new iPod. When did they become so sophisticated?

Casa de Fruita with Grandma and Grandpa

After the train ride Grace said, "That was awesome!" She's pretty easy to please.

I find Samuel irresistibly kissable. Apparently, I'm not his only fan. I asked Grace to describe Samuel using only one word. In her thoughtful fashion, she said she would need three words to describe him:
"He is beautiful."
Notice Grace made his name in legos.

Willy Wonka

Mia didn't want to meet Willy Wonka, an Umpa Lumpa, or Violet. However, Mia was star struck when she saw Mrs. Gloop (Agustus Gloop's mom.) She ran after her NEEDING to talk with her. As far as Mia was concerned, she was the real thing.

This reminds me of the time my father brought us to wait in a half mile line at Toys R Us to meet Darth Vader and C3PO. The closer we got to the front of the line the more panicked I got. My god, Darth Vader was in there! And for me, he was the real thing.
Our star Samantha.
Play number 2. We saw Samantha in Annie this summer, and now Willy Wonka. The girls were wide eyed and absolutely impressed with the production.
Chubby boy with a chubby face and a smile to melt your heart.
BIG puffs and an impala...my little rock star.

Ragged Point
Salmon Creek

Funny outfits

Mia was invited to the neighbor's princess party, so Samuel crashed it as a prince.
Mia's first ever trick or treat. She is now a fan of this trick or treat thing. Mia walked into many of the homes and asked questions and checked out their fish tanks and pet their dogs. She was so excited by every piece of candy given to her. She ran to me and swatted down to dig through her bag to show me each treat. Mia totally missed the concept that the faster you go, the more candy you get. Grace was very patient with her.
Here's a pretty pretty baby in the light of the sunset at Ragged Point.
Mia always asks for "down hair." She is disappointed when I explain that her hair is "up and out hair." Hanging the beads onto her braids has satisfied her desire for "down hair" this week.

I love this picture of her. It really captures her confident, intelligent, sassy personality.

Halloween 2009

A Lion, A Witch and.....

A Wardrobe!

This was purely for the photo shoot, don't worry, Samuel will not have to wear a piece of furniture in public. Happy Halloween from Azlan.

Crashed out in his car seat after a great party at the Korman Ranch.
Turns out my lap fits two.
"Hmmmm, let me consider the ramifications of that..."

Cute, cute and cute.

Tortured with love

Yeah, Samuel's booster seats fits into the wagon. I can't see him when he is in his stroller or car seat, so it was fun to watch his cheeks jiggle as he rolled down the path.
Check me out. I'm sitting all by myself!
The dogs relieving Samuel of some torture.
