QUOTES: WORDS OF WISDOM FROM MY CHILDREN

I just have to document these somewhere. This poor blog has been so neglected. I will try to be better.

Peyton: Mother's Day, is just like birthdays with less presents and a lot more love!

(Melted my heart)

Peyton: I don't want to be an astronaut when I grow up anymore, cause I am super afraid of black holes and twisters. So I decided I am going to be an accountant just like dad.

(oh boy...) (really, there's only two options in your head???? If you can't fathom exploring the universe, then I guess sitting at a desk is the next best thing).

Jack: I think my owie has polka dots on it

(he's special)

Rockwell: I'm going to choose the right mum. Not the left. Cause that would be bad!!!

(He's also special)

Peyton: ...But I'm doing something holy

(context, I caught him studying his scriptures at 10 at night and told him to go to sleep...that was his response...)

THE CORN MAZE

The corn maze sounds like so much fun, and every year I get invited to go at least once, but somehow I am never able to. The same goes for this year. Cory, however, was free one Saturday and decided to take the kids with out me. I am so proud of him! He even took all of these fun videos! Way to go dad!

THE MIDDLE CHILD TURNED 5

You know how people always think the middle child gets neglected...I am the oldest child, so I wouldn't know. But Jack is the middle child in my family and back in October he turned 5! This year he wanted a NINJA party, and boy did he get one. I would also like to disclose that I only took one photo of Peyton's 6th birthday and Rockwell didn't even get a 3rd birthday party.

But Jack got homemade invitations, shiriken throwing, an obstacle course and 8 friends (which is 3 more than I would normally allow). Oh and I forgot to mention, a visit from Uncle Evan with a real ninja sword.

LITTLE THOUGHT

Peyton had his first piano lesson today...I can still remember the name of the lady who first taught me piano. Mrs. Murphy.

LITTLE THOUGHTS

14 people donated blood to save my life. I would really like to pay that back one day.

SUMMER IS NEVER LONG ENOUGH

The title really says it all. I love summer for sooooo many reasons. The heat, the lack of schedule, time spent with family at the cabin, and all the activities we do during summer.

We love our Lockhart cousins

Captain Gregg
Tubing
Pinkham falls, just 15 minutes from our place
Family photo at Pinkham Falls, still can't believe my prego sister hiked the entire things.
Uncle Mark is SOOOOO funny
The rope swing is always a favourite
I conquered my fears.
And so did Peyton
