In August they had $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point. We decided to make a day of it. Shelly agreed to come and play with us. We started out at Farm Country and rode ponies and the kids fell in love with the baby calves. Marshall met us for dinner and then we went over to the Gardens. They are amazing. We have never been over to the main gardens, just the children's garden. Marshall and I loved the gorgeous waterfall. The flowers are beautiful and the kids loved rolling down the huge hill. They just ran and ran.We finished it off with getting wet by Noah's Ark. We had to take all their wet clothes off in the dark parking lot and drive them home with the heat blasting. I had not planned on them getting soaked, so I didn't bring towels. I hope they do the two dollar deal again, we should all go together!
Savannah. She just turned to look at me... and looked like this. Sigh. Smith Sandwich. I love Chancelor's face. Cute Sisters. Notice Chance making a break for it in the background. She has always had the BEST smile. Hair Model.
Chancelor told his first joke today. I asked him if he wanted a baby carrot and he looked at me with a twinkle in his eye, said yes, and then cradled the carrot in his hands and sang "rock a bye and good night" and then laughed at his own joke. When I laughed and told him he was funny, he proceeded to repeat the joke over and over... and over. I would like to apologize to his second grade teacher now. I might have created a monster (or class clown)
I have so much to post about, and I will, I will! I just wanted to quickly post the first day of Kindergarten pics for Savannah. She is so nice to have around, I am going to miss her. I didn't get teary until I was walking back to the car or else she would have been worried about me. Sweet, sweet girl. I was also thinking as I was posting these pictures that she had better go through an awkward ugly phase or I am in big trouble. Camryn started school two weeks ago. This was the first year that she picked out her first day of school outfit on her own. The shoes were brand new and gave her blisters at the end of the day, but she said it didn't matter "because she looked cute."
Jackson's baby blessing was yesterday. The whole day was wonderful thanks to my great husband and wonderful family. Marshall gave Jackson a beautiful blessing. He particularly blessed him to be a hard worker. Oh, please let it come true! Right now it would be a welcome change to the moans and groans that come from the littlest tasks that are asked to be done around here by my other beauties.
The day also included the always-to-be-counted on bawling testimony from me. My family came and made a wonderful meal. It was just a great day. I have such an amazing family who love spending time together and gratefully are all good cooks. (ok, some more than others...me being the others)
I can't believe it has been almost two months. I love how much babies change and how quickly at this age. The two month progression is crazy!
