Halloween 2013

It has been one of the longest weeks of my life.  It seems like there has been one thing after another.  I keep thinking, 'It cant get any worse' and then it does.  This year Halloween was a new start.  It was the end of that horrible week.   We wanted to get back to normal life by Halloween time.
We love our new neighborhood and enjoyed the festivities that they had going on for Halloween.   I think the Chili cook off was the best part (my kids might beg to differ).  As much as I hate carving pumpkins, because of the mess it makes, I still tackled it with my kids when Eric was gone, only because I love to see them smile.  Here are some pictures of Halloween Eve when we made a big orange explosion in our kitchen.

Emma was very proud of hers.  She did it all on her own.

And so the healing begins, things are back to normal and life continues no matter what difficulties occur.
Bring it on life!

Blogging again

It has been a while since the last time I blogged...almost 2 years.   I feel like I have a little more extra time now than I did when Lilly was a wee one. So, here we go...

Daily workout

Everyday that I workout on the treadmill at home Marcus asks for a turn when I'm done. I don't think I will ever have to worry about this kid being active.

Brother and Sister

I love these pictures of my two kids. Marcus is actually not squinting really bad like he normally does for pictures.

Cousins

All The McAllister cousins

From the side.  I love this one

All lined up

I think this is my favorite.  The kids walking toward the city building.

We took these in August, but I love them and I hadn't put them up yet, so I thought I would show off these amazing pictures of the kids.  They miss each other and don't get to spend a lot of time together, but sure do have fun when they are together.

The climb.

This is one of Marcus' famous climbing contraptions.  He has created many over the years, this is right up there with the best.

Yes this was all for a can of 7up.  I didn't realize that a can of soda was so important.

The big 60!

This month we celebrated my father-in-laws big 60th birthday.  I had the chance to make the cake. It was a great learning experience. I did save my almost disaster. The cake was so moist it was falling apart as I iced it.  It was good though.

Can you tell is is a 60, that is a golf hole?  Well, that is what it is supposed to be.

Doesn't look 60, right?   I know.  I hope I look that good at 60.
