The summer in review

I have been a SLACKER all summer when it comes to blogging. So I'll just post some of the highlights, just in case anybody's been missing us.

Here's Asher at Grandpa J's. He always loves the 4-wheelers!

A newer addition to the family at Grandpa J's.

We went on an awesome camping trip with some of our friends. We hiked to Delicate Arch.

Asher sure looks cute when he's hiking!

Asher was a little unsure of kayaking at first. Here is he with my niece, Meghann. Eventually he relaxed enough to splash around. It was pretty entertaining.

This was at Gardner Village. That little sheep kept nibbling on everything!

This is my sister, Jen, on the 4th of July. She got cold so she used the chair bags as pants. Warm and waterproof!

Waiting for the fireworks on the 4th of July.

These are my nieces, Meghann and Sydney, who stayed with us for a month this summer.

The rest of the pictures were taken at Castle Theater for Asher's third birthday. They're so darn cute!

Heber Valley Railroad

Asher is fascinated with trains so we decided to take him for a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. It was a beautiful day and we had fun!

What we've been up to lately...

We've been trying to keep ourselves entertained over the last few months. Asher and I go to Thanksgiving Point a lot, and that's fun. Here are some pictures from those adventures:

Asher and Grandma.

Asher in the tulips.

Asher's become fond of maps and likes to give directions.

We've also been hiking and camping in the last little while:

Kelly and his guitar. A camping ritual.

Chillin' by the fire.

A dog and her boy

Here are some cute pictures of Asher and Mazzy. These are all from my phone, so not the best qaulity. But cute anyway!!

St. George

Last weekend we took a trip to St. George for no apparent reason. It was still fun, though. We were excited to stay at a friend's condo, but disappointed that "diaper-aged children" were not allowed in the pool. Luckily we found this cool park not too far from the condo. I wish I had more pictures of it because it was the coolest park I've ever seen. It had so many cool "toys." Even the adults were playing on the toys.

Daddy and Asher

This little chair thing would spin around really fast. It almost made me puke.

A cool little tunnel that led to a rope bridge.

There is a whole wall for rock climbing. So cool!

Some people were ice blocking at the park and Asher was so fascinated by it that this girl asked if he'd like to go down with her. He loved it so much, they went again! This is at the bottom of the hill.

I'na go swimmin'!

This is a common phrase heard around our house. Asher always wants to go swimming. And once he starts talking about it, he doesn't stop until he gets to the pool. Even on the way to the pool, he'll cry "I'na go swimmin'!" It's really irritating, trust me. So we usually cave and take him swimming about twice a week. It really is fun to watch him play in the water. This time around, his cousin Jaymon came with us and I finally remembered my camera. So for anyone who comes to visit, or if you live close by, let's go swimmin'!

Lots to do for little ones.

Asher and Jaymon, playing by the side of the pool.

The pool has mandatory break times when everyone has to get out. Asher doesn't understand this and is always trying to jump in if we don't hold on to him.

Daddy and Asher splashing around.

My little cutie.

Fun pictures

Starting in January, Asher has been going to day care in Orem, so we get to commute together every day. Here he is one morning, looking so cool, as usual.

We went to dinner at my sister's house the other night. Asher is fascinated by their guinea pig, Jimmy. Here are some cute pics of Asher and his cousins, Helaman and Fiona, watching Jimmy. I'm obviously not good at capturing moving objects with my camera.

Sledding with the Jordans

After Jaymon's baptism on Saturday, many of the Jordans went sledding at Jolley's Ranch. Asher was pretty scared, but he did go down a few times. Mostly with Uncle Korry. Kelly and Korry raced each other down once, which ended in a huge crash. Korry hurt his finger and Kelly hurt his back. It was pretty funny. It was a gorgeous day and it's always fun to be with family!

This is one of my favorite Asher pictures ever.
