On Monday Bennets preschool class had their Christmas program, it was very cute. They walked out of a class room in their little reindeer facade, Bennet had the biggest grin on his face, (Rudolph has been his favorite as of late, he is planning on being Rudolph next Halloween.) Then they sang a bunch of songs and it was over. Maybe some day we will put a short video clip of it on here. Bennet was very sleepy and shy through the program and at times was struggling to keep his reindeer eyes open.

Miss Mia
I just thought that these pictures of Mia were too cute. I'm not a fan of what we call the "brain squishers" but sincce it matched the dress I thought I would try it. Mia actually wore it for a few minutes and then took it off, I didn't argue. Erin this one is for you. Thanks for the dress

from swimsuits to snow boots
One month ago, in swimsuits and flip flops, we were playing on the beach, at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Then three days ago we pulled out the coats and gloves to make a snow man. Here are the pictures of the events (no need to close the window there are no pictures of me in my swimsuit.) Enjoy.
Thanks for viewing my longest post ever! At least it's pictures of the kids.

Fall, and the food that goes with it.
I love pie, so when fresh peaches become available I have to make one or two or however many I want. So for Sunday I made two raspberry peach pies, and I have to say they looked as good as they tasted. I was quite proud of my domestic abilities. And yes, I'm a little embarrassed to admit, that I took a picture of them.

My son thinks he's a dog named Kipper
Not a whole lot has been going on in the Hansen clan as of late, so I thought I would just post some everyday photos of the kiddo's.
One of Bennets favorite DVDs to get from the library is "Kipper." It's just about a dog and his other dog friends. It is really pretty cute, I often watch it with him. Well Kipper sleeps in a basket so I often find Bennet playing or sleeping in the basket.
Miss Mia has an obsession with cell phones and shoes. I'm not sure where she gets it. Most of the time I have no clue were my cell phone is and I'm usually in flip flops or running shoes. I'm afraid she is going to get bucked off the horse while talking on the phone. Crazy toddler drivers.
Mia has had an ear infection this past week or so. and to add to that she pushed trough three molars. So as the pictures shows she has clung to my legs as often as their around. It has been driving me nutty. Now this is a cute picture, but it's not the typical scenario. shes usually crying and wiping her snot on my pants.

First day of Preschool
The first day of preschool. Ah,yes two and a half hours to myself to enjoy a book (as long as Mia stays asleep.) I know it's not about me and my selfish needs (IE. Breaking Dawn) but that my cute little boy is growing up. Before we know it will be his 11Th birthday and we'll be expecting his owl in July. Bennet was really excited for his first day, he was wearing his backpack for about 20 minutes before we had to leave. Here are the pics.

With the recent excitment of activity on our blog (ie. messages from Brenda, Teigan, Nicole and Erin.) I've deciede that it is time to spruce things up and bit and makes some changes. So with my recent popularity, I will now let you see our summer of fun. However, our trip to Idaho to see the Blue Angels did not make its presence on to my camera. They jets were way to fast to be captured by my delayed digital camera, time to invest in a new one. So enjoy and I hope to here from you all soon.
Bennnet loves, loves swim lessons, cant say that I blame him he is in a class with all older girls. It may be hard to see but he is in the blue swim suit and of corse goggles.

Safety is our first concern. Puppy must always be buckled in. I would hate to see what would happen to puppy if he were plastered to the windsheild.
Ahh summer. Playing in the back yard with the neighboors.

Bennets birthday was in July. So with his goggles and helmet he is ready to ride his bike. Thanks to everyone who gave him a present.

day out with Thomas
I could see the delight in Bennets eyes as he looked at the flyer we got in the mail. "Mommy, Mommy, look it's Thomas." Every little boy that has a thing for trains loves Thomas the Tank Engine, and Bennet would say he was his number one fan. "When dad gets home be sure to tell him how much you would love to go and see Thomas" I suggested to him knowing how Daddy melts when his little boy ask for something. I have to admit we both give in to the pressure and melt when it come down to it. So we went on line and purchased the tickets to go and see Thomas the Tank Engine. The day arrived Thomas was just a few hours away, we surprised Bennet with a navy blue and white striped Train drivers hat with a Thomas logo on it. Down to the station we went, early in the morning to see Sodor's number one engine. After a brief ride in one of Thomas' coaches we were able to get a picture with Thomas. When it was all over I asked Bennet what was his most favorite thing of the day? He said "when we went to the toy shop and bought Toby(one of the many trains)that was my favorite" Well, if I would have known that all he wanted was another train for his set at home, I would have gone to the store and got it. All in all it was a fun day.
Here are the pictures.
