Too Much Awesomeness

We are still having wonderful times here at the Outer Banks!
I am really going to miss this place....
I was just thinking today about how next year at this very time we will be getting our missionary off the plane and back home with us.
(It's a very good chance we will not be vacationing here during the last week of August for 2013!)

It made me cherish the beach time here even MORE.
(Don't get me wrong.  I am ecstatic about getting our missionary back home next year at this time!)

We will just have to figure out another week to get back here is all...
tee hee

lots of these little fellas being caught all day...

My favorite part of this week is seeing all the bonding... it just warms my heart to see siblings having fun like this!

(I will never mind all the practical jokes and shenanigans I had to put up with also along with all the bonding...)

I love all my monkeys!

The "Hurricane Simulator" on Jeanette's Pier.
(Definitely worth the 2 dollars.  haha)

AWESOME.

Two Different Worlds Away...

Well while we are here experiencing THIS here at the Outer Banks:

THIS was this week's note that we got from Andrew (via email)...

Dear Mom,
Get this, Dulce is known for Bigfoot and Aliens hahahaha There's suppose to be an alien research base at top of the mesa that surrounds Dulce. And everyone talks about their Bigfoot experiences. It's wacky out here. It's hard to work this area because no one wants to talk to us about religion. They like their apache traditions.

My companion has tourettes. It's extremely irritating because I can't tell him to shut up or anything because he can't help it. He randomly bursts into song and slaps his body a lot. He also says my name about every 30 seconds! My patience is being tested for sure. I hope I don't spend more than a transfer with him. I might smash my brains.

We live an a little apartment next to a church. I like it there a lot better than the barn I was living in before this transfer. The barn got really hot and the water was green. We have air conditioning in this thing and I can drink the water too.  So I'm happy with that.

I actually would really like some money if you can send some....like $200?  It's for a real good reason! I've made friends with an apache medicine man and he said he will make me some buck skin apache moccasins. Trading posts sell them for like 600 so I'm getting a really good deal. And I also found Dad a bolo tie. I'm gonna send that to him soon.

I love you Mom,
Andrew

 (Uh.. this is AWESOME.)
