Little boy
Kasey and I will often tell each other about the dreams we had the night before, because we both remember quite vividly. However, I often spare him the details of mine because they're pretty upsetting.
Mine always go something like this...
I or loved ones are being held hostage, someone is breaking into my house, or someone is after me/trying to kill me. It's a reoccurring thing that I call the police, but they never show up. Not once! I often wake up with my heart pounding and my legs dripping in sweat. I've learned to put my ipod by my bed so that I can listen to a movie to distract my mind as I lie awake for hours.
vs.
Kasey's little boy dreams...
He was a panda bear sitting in a tree chewing on bamboo, a transformer fighting other transformers, a rebel fighting against the Empire in Star Wars. Oh, and he pulled a tiger out of his mouth and they were friends.
And here is his little boy alarm clock to top it all off.

A New Dawn
You may have noticed that there is no longer a picture of Deron Williams on our blog. The Jazz traded Dwill today to the Nets in a shocking deal. At first I was angry, but after some reasoning with my brother Kelly, it doesn't seem as grim. Lets face it, the Jazz have already hit rock bottom before we traded Dwill. We lost 16 of our last 20 games. Deron has been playing worse than he's ever played for the Jazz. You could say that he's even mentally checked out, and wants to follow his peers Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and of course, Lebron James in leaving to bigger, better places. While I don't know the full reasons for Jerry Sloan's departure, I would put my money on part of the reason being due to an uncooperative and even prima donna Deron Williams, though I can't say that Deron forced Sloan out. We wouldn't have been able to sign Deron to an extension, and he would have left after next season, so instead of getting nothing for him, we got quite a bit out of New Jersey. We have a probable top 10 pick for this year (Jimmer Fredette?) a first round pick for the next year, and two good starting players. The Jazz have hit rock bottom, but we're on our way up, and it's a new dawn for Jazz fans. Sorry for the boring posts. Mollie will be back shortly.

The Art of Shaving
This will strike virtually all who read this as weird, but I like shaving. In fact, if someone were to ask me to write down my hobbies, I would put cycling, tennis, outdoors, and shaving. Since a month or so ago, I took to shaving the old fashioned way with a badger hair brush, a puck of shave soap, and a double edge (DE) razor. These are the razors your father and grandfathers used. I was talked into it by a few coworkers who loved it. It's generally the most economical (unless you buy more stuff than you need :) with the blades costing only about 10 cents each, the most eco-friendly (the soap is just a puck of soap or creme and doesn't contain aerosol, or comes in cans; and since the only thing you replace is a razor blade, you aren't buying a bunch of plastic either), and it delivers the closest shave with less ingrown hairs. The downside is that it generally takes 10 more minutes to shave this way, but that doesn't matter if you enjoy it. I also like how it's difficult to master, and it takes practice. The first few weeks were rough, but I'm getting the hang of it, and my face feels better all the time. Maybe one day I'll even graduate to a straight razor!

So long, Mouth Breather
Jerry Sloan, head coach of the Utah Jazz, resigned today. It was a big shock and I'm sad to see him go. The first thing I noticed about him when I started to watch Jazz games with Kasey, was that he never seemed to close his mouth.
See what I mean? He didn't even close it when he was young!
I really will miss him, stale old man breath and all.

Happy Groundhog Day!
Check out our favorite Ned scenes from the movie "Groundhog Day." Our favorite part comes around the 3:30 mark.
Also, it's not a groundhog, but close enough. I squeal every time I look at this picture, it's just too darn cute.
